Bell's Brewery Sponsorships and Donations

Sponsored events and donations play a key role within our Bell’s philosophy. Through these events, we are able to not only give back to the communities we sell our beer in, but also get to have a great time with our fans! We are always looking for new opportunities and welcome your suggestions and applications. Please keep in mind that while we would love to be able to participate in everything, we sometimes must respectfully decline.

We do have a few guidelines we follow for all sponsorships and donations, please read through them below before proceeding to our application.

• Requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the event start date or the date the donation is needed. Any events submitted with less than 8 weeks’ notice will automatically be declined. We want to give every event we are involved in the best chance for success, which means we need time to plan. While 8 weeks is our minimum time requirement, additional time is always appreciated, especially for larger events.
• We do very little traditional advertising, instead we focus our efforts on sponsorships. When we partner with an event or an organization, we like to be involved! That said, if your proposal only involves a logo placement, we will politely decline in favor of events that offer us a chance to interact with our fans.
• We’re an eccentric bunch here at Bell’s and love to be involved with events that reflect your community’s eccentricities, uniqueness and inclusivity.
• We are always happy to consider requests for donations of Bell’s swag for homebrew competitions, fundraisers and events! That said, due to Michigan state law, we are not legally allowed to donate beer to events in any state. We’re sorry, but we legally cannot make any exceptions.

Citizens supports opportunities where our funding can have a significant and measurable community impact.

Contributions

Citizens focuses on two specific funding areas, supporting programs that:

• Teach Money Management by supporting financial literacy programs that provide individuals and businesses with the tools needed to be fiscally healthy.
• Strengthen Communities through economic development, job training and small business development.

We focus our funding on projects that serve diverse, underserved populations and neighborhoods and demonstrate strong results. We look to partner with established 501(c)(3) organizations with programs that strongly align with one or more of the above funding priorities.

Sponsorships

Citizens considers sponsorships from a wide range of organizations and encourages creativity and innovation to develop partnerships that benefit both community organizations and the bank. Citizens seeks sponsorships that create valuable, unique and memorable experiences for its customers, colleagues and communities.

NOTE: Grant applications will be accepted online during two annual grant cycles, one in the spring and one in the fall.

Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation

In 2022, $45 million was invested in the communities we serve. The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards grants in four focus areas:

• Human needs grants that support increased food security, housing and shelter, and access to basic medical and health care.
• Environmental stewardship grants to protect natural resources and help non-profit organizations make efficient use of energy.
• Education grants to develop the capacity of the future workforce, especially in STEM and energy fields.
• Community vitality grants to foster an appreciation of diversity, revitalize neighborhoods and ensure a vibrant community life through support of cultural endeavors.

Social Justice Grants Initiative 

The Social Justice Grants Initiative is intended to address the fundamental causes of systemic racism (ex. racial injustice, health disparities, voter suppression, educational access, environmental injustice and/or law and criminal justice reform) that impact Black/African Americans across our footprint.

Goals

The Social Justice Grants Initiative is intended to address the fundamental causes of systemic racism. Grants will support projects or programs that:

• Advance social justice
• Promote equity of opportunity
• Foster diversity and inclusiveness

Community Grants

Community Grants will be awarded to support community-based programs that address a compelling localized need or opportunity with the potential for out-sized impact.

Our Mission

The mission of the Vermont Mutual Charitable Giving Fund is to enhance the quality of life in communities where the Group conducts business, by providing financial support to worthy community organizations.

Where We Give

The Charitable Giving Fund is designed to benefit organizations within the marketing territories of Vermont Mutual Insurance Group that aim to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities.

Giving Focus

The Fund provides financial support to organizations that help to build, maintain and enrich healthy lives and strong, vibrant communities. The Fund's primary focus is to contribute to non-profit organizations that serve communities through any of the following four initiatives:

• Promote Education: Examples may include traditional and non-traditional opportunities focused on inspiring academic excellence, leadership and community service
• Foster Youth: Examples may include teaching and modeling positive life skills
• Community-based: Programs that build better communities in which to live and work
• Satisfy Basic Needs: Examples may include affordable housing, homelessness and hunger

Mission

The AEC Trust is a private foundation established in 1980 as a philanthropic, grantmaking organization. It is governed by an Advisory Board that sets policy and is responsible for the review of grants.

Areas of Interest

Funding has traditionally focused on

• arts and culture;
• education;
• environment; and
• health and human services (especially those which target women's issues or people living with AIDS);
  • but can include areas in which the Advisory Board has special knowledge and interest.

Grant requests should be made within the $10,000 to $50,000 range and should not exceed 25% of the organization's annual budget or 50% of the project budget. 50% of total budget.

The Gladys Brooks Foundation was created under the will of Gladys Brooks Thayer of New York. 

Its purpose is to provide for the intellectual, moral and physical welfare of the people of this country by establishing and  supporting non-profit libraries, educational institutions, hospitals and clinics.

Scope of Grants Considered

The Foundation will consider major grant applications for innovative projects in the fields of libraries, education, hospitals and clinics.

Grants for Libraries 

Grant applications will be considered generally for resource Endowments (print, film, electronic database, speakers/workshops) capital construction and innovative equipment. Projects fostering broader public access to global information sources utilizing collaborative efforts, pioneering technologies and equipment are encouraged.

Grants for Educational Institutions

Grant applications from universities, colleges and secondary schools will be considered generally for:

• educational endowments to fund scholarships based solely on educational achievements, leadership and academic ability of the student; 
• endowments to support fellowships and teaching chairs for educators who confine their activities primarily to classroom instruction in the liberal arts, mathematics and the sciences during the academic year;
• erection or endowment of buildings, wings or additions thereto of buildings, and equipment for educational purposes;
• capital equipment for educational purposes.

Grants for Hospitals & Clinics

Grant proposals from hospitals and clinics where the proposal addresses a new health need, an improvement in the quality of health care or reduced health costs with better patient outcomes will be considered generally for:

• endowments for programs;
• erection or endowment of buildings, wings of or additions to buildings;
• capital equipment.

The focus of the Foundation is to provide assistance, including financial support to endeavors associated with the study, care and rescue of all earth's creatures.

The Kayla Jean Ricci Memorial Foundation was organized in 2002, after the tragic loss of a wonderful 12-year-old child from North Kingstown who died very suddenly of bacterial pneumonia. The only child of two very devoted parents, Kayla had an unusually passionate concern for the well-being of all the creatures of the earth, and it is in this vein that the Foundation was created.

Many individuals and buisnesses have been generous in contributing their time and resources to this organization. Because of their commitment, the Foundation has been able to support a variety of worthy causes.

The members of the Foundation hope that Kayla's dream of helping all of earth's creatures is being fulfilled and we will continue to give assistance to those who truly can make a difference in the world.

Scholarships, grants, and awards are being reviewed for their dedication to the preservation of animals and their environment. We encourage people of all ages to submit applications with their study, research, or immediate assistance to the creatures of the earth.

Priorities

In 2022, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awarded more than $1 million in environmental grants through its competitive Environmental Education and Stewardship grants program. Eligible organizations include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and public and private K-12 schools in communities served by Dominion Energy companies.

Through this program, nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for grants up to $50,000 to support specific projects that promise measurable results to improve the environment. Public and private K-12 schools in eligible regions can also apply for classroom grants up to $5,000 for environmental education programs.

Grant requests from eligible organizations that focus on one or more of the following priorities will be considered:

• Educating K-12 students and the public about environmental science
• Protecting and preserving natural habitats
• Improving open spaces and making nature accessible
