Grants up to $50,000 will be available within the Rural Community Grant Fund to facilitate infrastructure improvement and/or development initiatives encompassing housing projects, health, safety and environmental programs, medical facilities, educational programs and more. The Rural Community Grant Fund will be funded annually by the income earned by AgriBank, on its mineral interests within western North Dakota, as designated by its Board of Directors. AgriBank acquired its mineral interests in western North Dakota as a result of loan activity following the Great Depression.

- Other organizations may be considered, but requests by or for the personal benefit of an individual will not.
- A request will not be considered from a religious group for a religious purpose unless it is funding or sponsoring funding of a community medical or housing project.
