Overview:

NOTE: Due to the community impact of COVID-19, The Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation has opened the 2020 grant cycle early to allow for emergency funding of grants related to the pandemic. If your organization has been affected or is providing support for those impacted by COVID-19, please submit your application now to be considered for early funding. Please add “COVID-19” to your Campaign Name so that we can easily identify your need.

The Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation is a Bexar County private foundation that makes grants to qualified non-profit organizations serving 50 specific counties in south and central Texas.

The AKR Foundation awards grants for arts/culture, charitable, education, literacy, medical and scientific purposes. You may review a list of grants funded in the past on our website under Prior Grants.

The AKR Foundation has three Advisory Directors who approve grants. They are the adult children of Alice Kleberg Reynolds: Chula Reynolds, Mike Reynolds and CoYoTe PhoeNix. Each Advisory Director has a specific amount of funding dollars available to them annually. Once their respective dollars are committed, their allocation is complete. Therefore our suggestion is to APPLY EARLY!
