Overview:

Anadarko’s mission is to deliver a competitive and sustainable rate of return to shareholders by developing, acquiring and exploring for oil and natural gas resources vital to the world’s health and welfare.

At Anadarko, our approach to charitable giving is about more than writing a check; it’s about becoming fundamentally involved in and collaborating with an organization to better serve the needs of a community. Anadarko supports a variety of initiatives within our geographic areas of worldwide operations. Anadarko provides financial support to hundreds of global non-profit organizations and supports various university scholarship funds in engineering and science. 

Anadarko accepts funding requests from non-profit organizations that promote the following types of activities in the communities where we operate:
  • Arts and culture
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Public safety
  • Social service

Eligibility:

  • Anadarko accepts funding requests from non-profit organizations:
    • For U.S.-based applicants, a current and complete copy of IRS Form 990 and most recent IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter is required. 
    • For international applicants, a copy of your official confirmation that you are a registered charity or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is required. 
  • For consideration, funding requests must include:
    • Geographic reference to Anadarko operations in your city, state or country.

Preferences:

  • Priority may be given to those organizations that:
    • We have successfully worked with in the past
    • Will provide project implementation progress reports and metrics
    • Provide and illustrate co-benefit or value to Anadarko

Ineligibility:

  • Funding is generally not given to:
    • U.S. organizations that are not formally organized as “not-for-profit” under 501(c)(3) of the tax code or international organizations without formally established credentials
    • Organizations that are not located in or providing services to an area where Anadarko operates
    • Individuals or for-profit organizations
    • U.S. domestic educational institutions
    • Film and video projects
    • Individual United Way agencies (Anadarko supports regional United Way campaigns throughout North America.)
