Equine Welfare and Therapy

Funding is available through The Anita Berry Martin Memorial Fund for equine welfare, protection, and equine therapy in the following counties: Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Young, Jack, Denton, Wise, Hood, Somervell, Bosque, and Hill.

Focus: Equine welfare, protection, and equine therapy.

  • Agencies that offer equine rescue, shelter, rehabilitation, adoption/foster care services, education about humane treatment of horses, or equine assisted therapy are eligible.
  • Grants will be awarded based on scope of project and need with a maximum award of $10,000 per organization.

  • Geographic Eligibility: Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Young, Jack, Denton, Wise, Hood, Somervell, Bosque, and Hill Counties.
  • To be considered for a grant, applicants must be nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations (under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code). Organizations must be in one of the designated counties listed above.
