About this funder:
The Arizona COVID-19 Community Response Fund supports Arizona nonprofit organizations as they respond to the spread of COVID-19.
About the fund
The Arizona COVID-19 Community Response Fund was established by the Arizona Community Foundation, in partnership with a growing list of local corporations and foundations, to support nonprofit organizations across the state as they respond to the impact of COVID-19 within our community.
ACF is committed to working with other funding partners and community collaborators to move resources quickly and adapt to evolving community needs in order to support gaps not covered by state or federal relief funding. One hundred percent of contributions to this fund will be distributed to nonprofit organizations swiftly as needs arise.
While the initial priority is to address immediate needs, additional funds will be released on a rolling basis as fundraising continues through outbreak and recovery phases of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Once the state of emergency has expired, any remaining funds will support nonprofit organizations impacted by COVID-19 financially as a result of program disruptions or cancellations resulting in revenue loss.
Use of grant funds
Immediate relief grants
Requests for immediate relief should address funding for general operations directly related to changes in service delivery resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19 in Arizona; or to provide direct assistance to economically vulnerable individuals and families impacted by COVID-19 in Arizona. Such assistance may include the provision of food, housing, utilities, transportation, childcare, education, and/or health services. Grant funding may not be utilized to develop or implement new programs or services not in place prior to March 11, 2020. Organizations eligible for immediate relief may re-apply for additional funding every 30 days for the duration of the State of Arizona’s Emergency Declaration.
Long-term recovery grants
Requests for long-term recovery grants that address the impact of lost revenue due to closures, cancellations, or service disruptions will be considered following expiration of the State of Arizona’s Emergency Declaration, as determined by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Requests of this type and funding levels will be evaluated by an advisory council once the need for immediate relief funding has subsided. Organizations may only submit one request for long-term financial assistance.
