Overview:

The Association for Women Geoscientists invites applications from undergraduate women pursuing research experience in the geosciences for merit based research grants of up to $500.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a female undergraduate student in the geosciences, including but not limited to:
    • Environmental Science
    • Geoarcheology
    • Hydrogeology
    • Paleoecology
    • Physical Geography
    • Paleoclimatology
    • Geology
    • Geoscience Museum Studies
    • Geophysics
    • Paleontology/Evolution
    • Other related geosciences
  • Membership in AWG is NOT required;
    • however, if you receive a scholarship it is expected that you will become a member of the national AWG organization.
  • Applicant’s proposed research project must be supervised by a faculty advisor.
  • Scholarship funds will be available by May 1, 2016, and the research project should be completed by May 1, 2017.
