Overview:

Invites applications from undergraduate women pursuing research experience in the geosciences for merit based research grants of up to $500

The scholarship recipient will be required to volunteer in two service events within a year following receipt of your award. AWG hosts many outreach activities over the year, thus opportunities to fulfill the service portion of this schedule should be able to fit any schedule.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be an undergraduate (male or female) student in the geosciences, including but not limited to:
    • Environmental Science
    • Geoarcheology
    • Hydrogeology
    • Paleoecology
    • Physical Geography
    • Paleoclimatology
    • Geology
    • Geoscience Museum Studies
    • Geophysics
    • Paleontology/Evolution
    • Other related geosciences
  • Membership in AWG is NOT required; however, if you receive a scholarship it is expected that you will become a member of the national AWG organization.
