Overview:

AWMS provides a number of incentives and grants to its members to further their careers and to acknowledge their contribution to the field of wildlife management.  AWMS is also very focused on ensuring the continuing training and contributions of students to the field of wildlife management.

AWMS wishes to recognise those practitioners implementing outstanding wildlife management in their field. To acknowledge the contributions of professionals to the wildlife management field AWMS offers the Practitioner Award.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a field practitioner or a practitioner group involved in wildlife management in the  Australasian region (Australasia includes Australia, New Zealand, Papua/New Guinea and the neighbouring islands in the Pacific Ocean).
  • Must demonstrate excellence in their field.
  • Must be able to give a presentation about their achievements at the conference of that year.
