Overview:
In order to achieve the greatest impact, the 2019 areas of focus are: Food Insufficiency and Education. Only organizations which address those areas will be considered for funding through this general grant cycle.
The Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia believes philanthropy can play an important role in improving the quality of life and in helping to build an inclusive, caring and vibrant community. Through gifts our donors make that are unrestricted or targeted to a specific field of interest, we are able to fund a variety of community initiatives each year that are helping us help you make a difference.
Organizations may apply for grants up to $25,000. Grant funds must be used for capacity building or capital expenses.
Impact grants awarded (greater than $5,000) will be matching challenge grants. A challenge grant allows your organization to leverage the Community Foundation grant to raise additional funds. For Example: A 2:1 challenge grant pays your organization $1 for every $2 you raise in new money, effectively making a $10,000 grant worth $30,000 to your bottom line. If requested, your organization should have the necessary capacity to raise the challenge funds prior to June 1, 2020.
Requests which include collaboration among similar organizations are encouraged.
