The Community Foundation will fund approximately $180,000 in general grants to nonprofit organizations serving the northeast Georgia region. The Foundation Grants Committee will consider sustaining grants up to $5,000 and impact grants up to $25,000 with priority given to challenge grants. These grants will provide valuable resources that will help to create sustainability and permanency in the nonprofit sector. We are excited to support, engage, and prosper our nonprofit partners.
The Community Foundation seeks to leverage opportunities in the region where a moderate amount of grant money can achieve a significant result. We look for proposals from organizations with a well-planned approach to issues and needs, with a demonstrated base of support, committed leadership, and the involvement of individuals with the skills necessary to carry out the work. We are interested in those organizations that can demonstrate that they have planned their projects in light of overall community need. The fields of interest covered by our grants are social services, education, community and civic affairs, arts and culture, and health.
The Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia believes philanthropy can play an important role in improving the quality of life and in helping to build an inclusive, caring and vibrant community. Through gifts our donors make that are unrestricted or targeted to a specific field of interest, we are able to fund a variety of community initiatives each year that are helping us help you in making a difference.
