Overview:

We Are One | Somos Uno CARES Act

The We Are One | Somos Uno CARES Act Continuity Grants program was created by the Mayor and Council of Tucson to support small businesses, workers and families, and nonprofits by addressing necessary expenditures due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency.

In March 2020, funding was made available to the City of Tucson under section 601(a) of the Social Security Act, as added by section 5001 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES Act). The CARES Act established the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) and appropriated $150 billion to distribute to States and certain local governments; the District of Columbia; U.S. Territories; and Tribal governments.

The City of Tucson has selected Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to administer a portion of this funding to support local nonprofits via continuity grants.

The We Are One | Somos Uno CARES Act Continuity Grants program will provide one-time grants to nonprofit organizations up to $20,000 per organization. Applications will be reviewed and, if accepted, processed within 1-week of award notification.
