Overview:

Communities Foundation of Oklahoma (CFO) is committed to creating Funds that help communities meet the challenges of changing times; to connecting donors with community needs in supporting the long term impact of vital community organizations; and to meeting the charitable needs of all Oklahomans in communities large and small…now and forever.

Chickasha Community Foundation

The CCF was created with a goal of providing a vehicle through which donors could connect to the charitable needs of the community. In its first three years of existence, CCF has awarded more than $400,000 in grants that support a variety of organizations that provide services and opportunities to different segments of our population.

CCF was born from the generosity of the late Doris Wilk, who lived most of her life in Washington State, but had a fondness for Chickasha that arose from visits to Oklahoma as a child. At her death she arranged a gift from her estate to establish the Chickasha Community Foundation in 2011 and today that gift has grown to over $2.9 million. Wilk’s seed money has made it possible for the CCF board to grant more than $400,000 to Chickasha non-profit organizations in the past three years.

The Chickasha Community Foundation is governed by a local board of directors and administered through the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma. CCF Board members include Jim Allen, Pat Brooks, Diana Brown, Greg Elliot and Marilyn Feaver.
