Overview:

The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado made more than $5.8 million in grant and program distributions during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2016. The vast majority of our grants are made from Donor Advised and Designated funds; typically less than 2% of our annual distributions are made as part of our annual competitive grant cycle, which is described below

This competitive grant cycle is one way the Foundation addresses the needs of our region — needs that are evident today and needs that are anticipated to impact our region in the future. This competitive funding process allows the Foundation to support charitable projects that matter to the communities we serve, and through the process, our volunteers and staff gather valuable knowledge about our region and its ever-changing needs.

Our mission is to provide a trusted, local platform that enables people to give more effectively and to think strategically and creatively about the future of our community.

Each summer we invite charitable organizations that serve Berthoud, the Estes Valley, or Loveland residents to submit a grant application for consideration by our grantmaking committees.

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website.

Eligibility:

  • The Community Foundation makes grants to 501c3 charitable entities, educational institutions, churches, or municipalities.

Ineligibility:

  • We do not make grants to individuals or businesses.
  • We do not solicit/accept funding requests that focus on the Fort Collins community.
    • However, an agency that is located in Fort Collins may submit a grant application to the Berthoud or Loveland grantmaking committees as long as the agency's funding request meets the criteria.
