Overview:

Coronavirus Response Fund

The Coronavirus Response Fund was established in early March 2020 to provide flexible resources to organizations in our region working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this outbreak. The fund is hosted by the Community Foundation of Snohomish County, and is designed to complement the work of public health officials and expand local capacity to address all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible.

A total of $250,000 was donated in the first week by Premera Blue Cross, BECU, the Community Foundation of Snohomish County, and United Way of Snohomish County to launch the fund.

Community Foundation of Snohomish County administered grants from the fund in consultation with partners: Snohomish County, Snohomish Health District and United Way of Snohomish County. Funds were released on a rolling basis making it possible to move resources quickly and adapt to evolving needs in subsequent funding phases. Decisions on fund distribution were based on data and information from our partners, identifying the greatest community needs as they emerged in this rapidly changing environment.
