About this funder:
The Denver Foundation operates a Critical Needs Fund that can be activated to meet essential community needs outside of the normal course of our grantmaking. We activate the fund to mobilize flexible, responsive resources during times of critical need.
As the community navigates the COVID-19 global health crisis, Denver Foundation team members are tapping into our very deep roots in the community to identify high-impact organizations that serve the most vulnerable. Through the Critical Needs Fund, we’ll focus on critical issues including housing insecurity and lack of access to food and health care services.
Our first round of grants from the Critical Needs Fund focused on nonprofit organizations engaged in collaborative COVID-19 work, with an emphasis on organizations that may not have access to federal relief funding.
