Overview:

The heart of the RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation is to give back to the communities in which we serve, including all four counties in the Portland/Vancouver area as well as Salem. 

Equity Group Foundation Grant

The RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation is the charitable foundation of RE/MAX equity group. Agents and staff contribute time and resources to The RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation to help local organizations dedicated to meeting the needs of our neighbors. 

Local charities are a priority to The RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation, especially those that are smaller, “grass roots” type organizations without national or federal funding. The RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation also prefers to donate to a specific, tangible purpose as opposed to contributing to the general fund of an organization.

Children. The Foundation wants to help children in need with food, clothing, shelter, medical care, rehabilitation and counseling.

Families, women and children. The Foundation wants to support families in crisis, as well as battered, abused and neglected women and children.

Eligibility:

  • In order for a charity to qualify for a donation from the Foundation, it must be registered with the IRS as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) tax exemption status. 
    • Below is an outline of the type of charitable organizations the Foundation is looking to support: 
    • Local charities are a priority to the Equity Group Foundation. Especially those that are smaller, “grass roots” type organizations without national or federal funding. 
    • Children. The Foundation wants to help children in need with food, clothing, shelter, medical care, rehabilitation and counseling. 
    • Families, women and children. The Foundation wants to support families in crisis, as well as battered, abused and neglected women and children. 

Preferences:

  • The Foundation prefers to donate to a specific purpose as opposed to contributing to the General Fund of an organization.
  • The Foundation looks carefully at the operating expenses of a charity and supports those that make the most of our contributions. Preferably operating expenses should be under 30%.
  • The Foundation prefers tangible contributions that can be measured such as food, clothing, medical services, equipment, toys or camp sponsorships as opposed to educational programs. 
  • The Foundation encourages opportunities that bring exposure to RE/MAX Equity Group and its community involvement.
