  • Applicant eligibility:
    • Must be high school seniors residing in and attending a high school in Broward County, Fl.
    • Applicants must have a grade 10 on the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) or ACT/SAT concordant score.
    • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Applicants must demonstrate financial need. 
    • Applicants must demonstrate traits of high personal character and leadership.
    • Applicants must attend a technical program of study with plans to receive a technical certificate or associate degree.
  • Institutional requirements:
    • Recipients must attend a college that offers a technical program of study with plans to receive a technical certificate or associate degree. 
    • All recipients must be full-time each semester and working toward an undergraduate degree.
    • The institution must be an educational organization that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of pupils or students in attendance at the place where its educational activities are regularly carried on.
  • Scholarship usage:
    • Subject to the trust terms, the awards will be applied to the cost of tuition, fees, books and supplies and should not exceed these costs.
    • Scholarship awards must be used in the year they are awarded.
    • This scholarship may be renewable for (1) one additional year of technical instruction, or until an associate's degree or certificate is awarded, whichever is earlier.


  • Applicants whose home address is within the area of State Road 7, Broward/ Palm Beach County line, McNab Road and the Atlantic Ocean will be given first priority.
