The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation (EWVCF) was founded in 1995 to help donors create endowed funds to benefit their favorite 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia; including Jefferson, Berkeley, Morgan, Hampshire, and Hardy counties.

EWVCF Unrestricted Grant

This new category of competitive grants is being introduced by the Community Foundation to help fund special programs and projects that don't qualify for EWVCF Youth or Education grants or our other field-of-interest programs. Applications for EWVCF Unrestricted Grants will be accepted yeararound from nonprofit organizations in all five counties. Grants will normally range from $1,000 to $3,000; however, smaller and larger grant applications may be considered. The amount available for distribution this year is limited, with funding coming from our Partners in Philanthropy and our Donor Advised Funds. Grants are normally structured as reimbursable, however, there may be some flexibility depending upon the nonprofit organization and the actual grant funded program or project.

Unrestricted Grants will support a wide variety of charitable causes, from animal rescue to senior services, the environment to historic preservation, Pre-K education to hospice services, drug abuse prevention to recreation programs, scholarships to the arts, museums to social services, cemeteries to libraries, and virtually every other charitable cause in between.

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website.
