Overview:

This bursary is supported by the combined funds of the Ornamental Horticulture Trust Award and the M W L and N Gosling Bequest. 

The value of the Gosling Ornamental Horticulture Bursary shall be determined each year from the interest earned on the capital fund.

The bursary shall be awarded annually as funds permit on the recommendation of the Applied Academic Programmes Scholarships Committee provided applications are of sufficient academic merit. Other factors may be taken into consideration.

Eligibility:

  • The bursary shall be open to candidates enrolled full-time for a degree in horticulture at Massey University.
  • Applicants must show in their application that they are interested in pursuing a career in growing ornamental plants, either in the nursery industry, cut-flower production or management of parks. 
  • The bursary is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, from New Zealand or overseas.

Preferences:

  • Preference may be given to undergraduate applicants from New Zealand.
