Mission

The primary mission of the Colcom Foundation is to foster a sustainable environment to ensure quality of life for all Americans by addressing major causes and consequences of overpopulation and its adverse effects on natural resources.

Colcom Foundation’s principal funding interests reflect a primary concern for quality of life, which it strives to address with honesty, compassion, and responsibility.

Through strategic grantmaking, the Foundation focuses its philanthropic program on

  • environmental sustainability,
  • natural resource preservation,
  • land and water conservation, and
  • efforts to establish a sustainable population.

National Giving

Colcom Foundation gives priority to national organizations that acknowledge the impact of human population growth on U. S. environmental sustainability, natural resource depletion, and land and watershed degradation.

The Foundation supports a meaningful national conversation on the optimal level of immigration in light of jobs, natural habitat, biodiversity, civic society, and economics.*

*Based on U.S. Census Bureau data, immigrants and their children account for 75% of the nation’s population growth.
