Overview:

JSF is a young, growing organization. In 1992, we funded two projects totaling $2000; in 1996, we funded ten projects for a total of $13,265; in 1998, we funded nine projects for a total of $18,300; and in 2000 we have funded 5 projects for a total of $24,550.  Projects have ranged from a few hundred dollars to several thousand.

While we generally like to fund a variety of projects, we will consider giving the majority of our funds to a single entity in any grant cycle.

It is the objective of John Sage Foundation to promote and enhance a harmonious relationship between people and the natural environment.

  • Land acquisition and site evaluations
  • Water testing programs
  • Environmental education - programs, planning and scholarships
  • Support for an environmental center and library
  • Boardwalks for nature preserves
  • Community garden program
  • Natural history museum equipment
