Overview:

Students, postdoctoral researchers, and other scientists with limited funding opportunities may apply to the Jurassic Foundation for grants to undertake research on any aspect of dinosaur paleontology (e.g., field exploration, fossil preparation or conservation, morphology, taxonomy, systematics, evolution, paleobiology, paleoecology, paleobiogeography, taphonomy). To be considered for funding, applications must clearly demonstrate that the proposed project will have a direct impact on understanding of non-avian dinosaurs and/or Mesozoic birds. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the Jurassic Foundation President prior to preparing an application if they are unsure whether their proposed project would fulfill this requirement. Researchers from economically developing nations are especially encouraged to apply; however, prospective non-student, non-postdoctoral applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the Jurassic Foundation President prior to beginning an application to discuss the suitability of the project.
