Overview:

The Lightfoot Foundation is a non-profit organization with one goal in mind – helping people.

We assist students in the Treasure Valley who wish to further their education, organizations engaged in the protection and preservation of our environment, and homeless shelters and family housing organizations that help those in need.

Education

The Lightfoot Foundation supports educational organizations by providing annual grants to select, qualified organizations in the state of Idaho. In order to be eligible for a grant, an organization must be classified as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service.

The Foundation’s funds for the particular grant period are distributed at the sole discretion of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Foundation’s funds can only be used for environmental education, classroom education, classroom materials and supplies, repairs, maintenance and replacement to school buildings in order to enhance learning in a safe environment.The Foundation funds are distributed at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors. The amount received by qualifying students may vary year by year.

Environment

The Lightfoot Foundation supports Environmental Organizations by providing annual grants to select, qualified organizations in the state of Idaho. In order to be eligible for a grant, an organization must be classified as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service and be engaged in activities that further the protection and preservation of the environment.

The Foundation’s funds for the particular grant period are distributed at the sole discretion of the Foundations Board of Directors. The Foundations funds can only be used for protection of the environment, environmental education, and support of non-profit organizations dedicated to one of the other two items.

Housing

The Lightfoot Foundation is helping the Homeless Shelters and Family Housing Organizations of financially disadvantaged families by providing annual grants to select, qualified organizations in the state of Idaho.
