Through generous contributions and special events, the Foundation provides for a wide variety of needs at Marshall Medical and throughout the western slope of El Dorado County.

Marshall Foundation: Community Health Grants Program

Each year Marshall Foundation identifies strategic funding priorities based on current health priorities. The objective of the Community Health Grants Program is to award grants to nonprofit organizations with health-related projects specific to the current year area of focus.

Foundation grants are to be used to improve the quality of health in the community it serves.

Area of Focus - 2018

  • Mental Health and Substance Abuse Education

A total of $20,000 is available in this round of funding, and applications will be accepted only in the area of focus. We are eager to receive your proposal to help us provide funds for programs that will improve the health of our community.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization or have a fiscal agent that is a 501 (c) (3) organization and capable of administering the project’s funds.
  • Project or program must respond to the health priorities identified by Marshall Foundation as the greatest health needs determined by the current community health assessment.
  • Our service area is for programs / projects administered in El Dorado County. 

Ineligibility:

  • We will not grant funding for operating expenses, capital improvements or programs / projects after the fact.
