The Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation was organized as a public benefit corporation to serve organizations that qualify as Section 501(c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Service, and benefit the people of the Michigan City Area School District.
The purpose of the Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation is to receive and accept money from Blue Chip Casino, Inc. pursuant to the terms of the Riverboat Gaming Development Agreement dated June 10, 1997, between Blue Chip Casino, Inc. and the City of Michigan City, Indiana, and to administer and expend those funds exclusively to 501(C)(3) qualified not-for-profit organizations supporting public purposes, primarily in and for the benefit of the people of the Michigan City community.
