Overview:

As a member-owned, community-based financial institution, NEFCU is not only a reflection of the communities we serve, but an active participant. We firmly believe that the responsibilities of citizenship extend to organizations like ours, and we work everyday to improve the well-being – financial and otherwise – of the individuals and communities we serve. 

NEFCU’s Community Giving Program actively supports organizations and programs that move our community forward in the critical areas of housing, children’s welfare, nursing and science education, and financial literacy.

In recognition of the importance of the nursing profession to our members and our community, NEFCU is proud to support and assist individuals who wish to pursue a nursing career through financial scholarships for appropriate training at accredited institutions.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a member in good standing with the Credit Union.
  • Applicant must be applying to or enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate nursing program at a college, trade school, or university (minimum 6-credit semester or the equivalent).

You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Membership in NEFCU is open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Washington, Lamoille, and Addison counties

Ineligibility:

  • Applicants applying under parent(s) member number will not be considered.
  • Employees and Volunteers of NEFCU, as well as members of their immediate families and households are not eligible.
  • Previous NEFCU scholarship recipients are also not eligible
