The Wildlife Professional Award is bestowed annually upon a wildlife professional for outstanding contributions to their field within the state of New Mexico. Awardees may be practitioners in research, education, management, conservation, law enforcement or legislation, but must have demonstrated excellence in their field related to wildlife in the state of New Mexico. The award is based on the significance of contributions made to the field, and may include contributions made over an entire career or over a shorter period of time.
