Overview:

This Notice is to inform potential applicants of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intent to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit revision applications from currently funded NIH Centers for AIDS Research (CFARs) and Developmental Centers for AIDS Research (D-CFARs) to expand the scope and role of the Centers to include additional support and infrastructure to provide training, mentoring, and research related to HIV and HIV-related health disparities in the United States and globally. Additionally, this NOFO supports expanding experimental approaches while engaging and encouraging collaborations and incorporation of diverse perspectives into the CFAR and D-CFAR goals. Note, the NOFO will require a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP) as described in NOT-MH-21-310, submitted as Other Project Information as an attachment. Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the NOFO instructions carefully and view the available PEDP guidance material.
