Overview:

Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, through the Draper Foundation Fund, the Marion Wm. & Alice Edwards Fund, the Nolin Selby Fund, the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and Northwest Corner Gives: COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund is acting swiftly to respond to the immediate needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rapid modest grants are available to those organizations working on the frontlines of the pandemic. Grants will be awarded for basic needs such as rent, food, infant supplies (diapers and formula) utilities (heat, gas) medication, child care.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Eligibility:

  • Grants are limited to organizations serving residents of the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation's 20-town service area. 
  • Use of grant funds must be limited to essential basic needs such as rent, food, infant supplies such as diapers and formula, utilities/heat, gas, medication, child care (priority to essential personnel), and directed to high need, vulnerable populations (e.g., seniors, low-income, immigrants, persons with disabilities, communities of color, persons without health insurance and/or access to paid sick days). *
