Overview:

The Pennsylvania Heartland Herb Society was initially formed from the Herb Haus study group in 1982 and applied for unit status with The Herb Society of America, Inc. on January 2, 1985, for the purpose of seriously studying and actively sharing the history, horticulture and uses of herbs.

Our Unit strives to achieve it's stated mission by organizing several annual events that have been a common thread throughout the history of our unit; our Symposia, our scholarship program, our yearly tours, and our Unit-sponsored gardens.

The Pennsylvania Heartland Unit of The Herb Society of America, a group dedicated to the purpose of studying and actively sharing horticulture history, and the use of herbs, is pleased to offer a $1,500.00 scholarship to a student within the study of horticulture.
