Overview:

NOTE: Pentair is anticipating a split of the company into two separate businesses — water and electrical – which is expected to be completed in Quarter 2 of 2018. Pentair will release additional information about our new grant program after that time.

Pentair is a global company with the resources, technology and values to make a positive impact in the world. Our Corporate Social Responsibility programs focus on exploring ways to meet societal challenges around water, food and energy; building sustainability into our operations and products; and empowering our employees to become involved in our communities.

Doing well by doing good has been a long-standing tradition at Pentair, and is reflected in our company’s Win Right Values. Since 1998, the Pentair Foundation has donated over $55 million to philanthropic causes, strengthening the communities in which we operate and providing safe, clean water to nearly three million people. In all that we do, we strive to embed the principle of creating shared value – for our business and for the world.

The Foundation's grantmaking focuses on the following:

Food
As the world’s growing population puts increasing demands on global agriculture resources, Pentair focuses on innovative solutions in aquaculture and aquaponics as well as agriculture development, education, and research related to water reuse and management in the production of food.

Water
We believe safe water is a fundamental human right, and one of the foundations of freedom and economic development. Pentair collaborates with a range of partners, combining our technology, micro-enterprise business models, and scientific research to provide sustainable access to safe water, as well as water conservation and reuse efforts.

Education
Education is key to economic development and improved living standards. In developing countries, our efforts focus on increasing opportunities for children to access and attend school; and in developed countries, we focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum.
