The goal of the Little Traverse Bay Protection and Restoration Fund held at the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation is to help ensure that the waters of the Little Traverse Bay Watershed will be enhanced, restored, and protected for generations to come.
The Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees has appointed an advisory committee of community volunteers with knowledge of environmental issues to review the competitive grant requests and recommend funding from the Little Traverse Bay Protection and Restoration Fund to the Board of Trustees. The committee uses the watershed plan as a guiding document.
Little Traverse Bay and its watershed are essential to our regional economy, quality of life, and a main reason visitors from around the world visit the area.
