About this funder:

Mission and Vision

The Sunwest Bank Charitable Foundation invests in outstanding local organizations and employee programs designed to build a philanthropic corporate culture and strengthen our communities. Our primary focus is the care of vulnerable children and families, and supporting nonprofit organizations that meet food, housing, healthcare, safety, and education needs.

Since inception, we have made grants to domestic organizations serving the homeless, physically and sexually abused, hungry, sick, and unemployed in Arizona, California, Idaho, and Utah.

Additionally, bank employees have volunteered their time and energy to non-profit organizations right here at home and around the world through our partnership with the Hovde Foundation. The Sunwest Bank Charitable Foundation encourages bank employees to get involved through the annual Mission Trip, Volunteer Grants and Matched Donation programs. Each year, the foundation provides around $0.5 million in grant funding and matching gifts.

In December 2009, the Sunwest Bank Board of Directors established the foundation to further their vision of creating value for the neighborhoods and businesses it serves. The bank’s solution-driven, relationship-based approach to enhancing community value extends to the foundation, and the bank contributes to it annually as profitability allows.

By fostering a charitable corporate culture and advancing the impact of effective aid organizations, we strengthen families and build prosperous communities.
