Our Natural Heritage Fund is dedicated to ensuring future generations of Utahns have the ability to experience and enjoy Utah’s natural heritage.

Our Goals

The Utah Natural Heritage Fund is guided by a committee of individuals interested in protecting Utah's natural environment. We aim to be a source of dialogue and resources for the preservation of our state's natural resources. We work collaboratively and think strategically about how Utahns can sustain the natural beauty and ensure quality of life for its citizens.

  • Nonprofit organizations with a core focus on change-making will be considered.
  • All projects must be in Utah, for the benefit of Utahns; the organization need not be Utah-based.

  • Preference will be given to projects that are/have:
    • Innovative: Demonstrate a compelling new idea, a novel approach to solving an environmental problem.
    • Matching Support: Have additional committed support.
    • Collaborative: Involve input from collaborative partners.
    • Sustainable: Include a commitment to a sustainable funding model. Sustainability for this project is defined as creating an ongoing funding source for the life of the project.
