About this funder:

At WestRock, we care about our communities. We want them to be stable, prosperous and vibrant – places where our 45,000 team members and their families can live, work and play. That’s why the WestRock Foundation invests in communities where we have an operational or corporate presence, providing programmatic grants for projects with measurable outcomes. We focus on measurability because we hold ourselves and our partners accountable for making the difference we set out to achieve.

To ensure we make a measurable difference, our grants are prioritized in two key areas:

  • Education: The workforce of tomorrow is being shaped today, and we are committed to ensuring it meets the business and operational needs of our industry. We look to partners within our communities to help us achieve a sustainable workforce for years to come.
  • Environment & Sustainability: By joining forces with organizations focused on water, forest, wildlife diversity and sustainability projects within our operational footprint, we uphold our commitment to investing in and protecting our natural resources.

We realize there are many non-profit organizations that do great work to support various causes that ensure residents live in safe, diverse, and vibrant communities. That’s why we encourage our team members and their families to help us direct some of our Foundation funding to organizations they care about. When they roll up their sleeves and give of their time, the WestRock Foundation will recognize their volunteer service with a grant to the organization through our Grants for Volunteers and Teamwork Matters programs. Collectively, we can make a measurable difference.ent.
