We invest directly in organizations and programs that support the elimination of discriminatory policies and, instead, work toward the equal treatment of “pit bull” dogs. If your 501c3 organization is working towards similar goals, with programs and initiatives that treat all dogs equally, we encourage you to apply for our grants.

Your Programs, Your Ideas Grants

Our Your Programs, Your Ideas grant funds initiatives that focus on sheltering smarter, not harder. This includes community outreach, socialization, and research. Submissions should support our mission viewing all dogs and people as individuals.

We will not consider funding requests for spay/neuter programs, marketing or adoption, capital campaigns, enrichment, or paid employee positions. We do not fund programs that are exclusive to “pit bull” dogs (such as breed-specific spay/neuter). We like to think of the big picture and fund programs that benefit all of the animals or dogs in a shelter.

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website.

  • Your organization needs to be a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit to apply.
  • Animal Farm Foundation requires that grantees have no discriminatory policies or practices and that all dogs are treated as individuals.
  • Similarly, we expect that all proposals will be inclusive of “pit bull” dogs without singling them out or creating exclusive programs.
  • Programs of interest think big picture and can benefit all the animals or dogs in the shelter.

  • We will not provide funding to organizations that have special policies, applications, requirements, or rules for “pit bull” dogs.
  • We will not fund capital campaigns, staff positions/employment, or programs that underwrite breed specific legislation (BSL) of any kind.
