The Honors Propel Grant at Northeastern University empowers Honors students to embark on creative and impactful learning projects. With awards of up to $1,000 per student and a maximum of $3,000 for group projects, it encourages meaningful engagement and experiential learning. Recipients must present their findings in a 45-minute session to faculty and peers, fostering community and collaboration. Washington County Community Foundation

The Washington County Community Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life in Washington County by promoting and facilitating philanthropy. We accomplish this by assuming four philanthropic roles of Grantmaker, Donor Service Organization, Fundraiser, and Community Leader. Fostering philanthropy by offering charitable gifting opportunities to donors on an individualized basis and at reasonable fees, we make charitable giving easier, more satisfying, and more effective. 

The Foundation is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of Pennsylvania, which is registered with the Pennsylvania Charities Bureau and annually files the Federal Form 990.

Scholarships for Post-Secondary (Undergraduate) School

The Foundation provides both need-based and merit-based scholarships to students in Washington County, with a few scholarships also available to students in Greene County. All scholarships are made payable to the educational institution the student is attending. 

Three Oaks Scholarship Fund

For current year graduating seniors or non-traditional students who reside within the boundaries of the Burgettstown School District, Fort Cherry School District, or Avella Area School District and who are pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited trade or technical school. 

The Dr. Anson L. Clark Scholarship, established by Communities Foundation of Texas, provides financial support of up to $20,000 for graduating seniors from Dallas Independent School District. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 and achieve either a SAT score of 1190 or an ACT score of 24. This initiative aims to empower students to pursue higher education in Texas, fostering academic achievement and community growth.

The Somerset Scholarship, managed by the SouthCoast Community Foundation, provides essential tuition assistance for Somerset resident students pursuing higher education at two- or four-year institutions. This initiative aims to support students who may not qualify for traditional scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their academic aspirations. The Las Campanas Community Scholarship Fund, managed by the Santa Fe Community Foundation, offers financial support to local students pursuing certificates, undergraduate, or graduate programs. This initiative is fueled by community donors aiming to assist their neighbors in achieving educational goals. Applicants must reside in specific zip codes and maintain a GPA above 2.49. The scholarship is renewable annually, ensuring ongoing support for students committed to their academic pursuits.

Jane and Tom Davis Scholarship

The applicant must be a graduating senior or graduate of a Henderson County public school and demonstrate financial need. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better who is seeking an education beyond high school.

The scholarship is renewable.

The Kress Conservation Fellowships, offered by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, support post-graduate training for emerging conservators in various specialty areas like paintings and textiles. The fellowships provide competitive grants to museums for supervised internships, running 9 to 12 months. Eligible applicants must have completed a master's degree in conservation.
