This scholarship is for a resident of Henderson County seeking further education in an accredited degree-granting college or university. The applicant should show promise and be meeting passing grade requirements but may not be in the top of his or her class rank. Consideration will be given to an applicant with special needs connections (either personally or working with).

Applicant must demonstrate financial need in pursuing a post-high school educational or training program at a trade school, technical college, community college, university, graduate school or other recognized educational institution. It is the guiding principle of this scholarship that applicants demonstrate and practice good sportsmanship.

The scholarship is renewable.
