Jack Family Scholarship

Open to students who are residents of Kent County. Preference to Challenge Scholar students through 2032.

Generally the Community Foundation's scholarships are awarded to applicants who have high financial need. Applicants with household income exceeding $100,000 are less likely to be awarded, but applying will allow you to be considered for targeted scholarships.

Walter C. Winchester Scholarship

Open to undergraduate students who are graduates of a Grand Rapids Public High School with a minimum 3.3 GPA.

The Veterans Cemetery Grants program, administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, provides financial assistance to establish, expand, and improve Veterans cemeteries across the United States. J.M. Rubin Foundation

The J.M. Rubin Foundation's current focus is to provide scholarships to residents of Palm Beach County at any recognized educational institution. At the discretion of the Board, we provide charitable support to some organizations. However, we strive to limit this giving to local institutions or to the benefit of our local community.

Scholarship Overview

The J.M. Rubin Foundation, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit charitable corporation established in 1973. It has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service to make individual scholarship grants to recipients who must be bona fide residents of Palm Beach County, Florida.

In addition, all applicants must be U.S. citizens. The scholarship recipients need not attend any particular school, so long as the recipient is a candidate for certification or a degree. The recipients will be selected on the basis of academic and/or athletic achievement or promise as the basic criterion. Financial need is an additional factor, however, it is not required. The recipients will be selected from applicants on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis, including personal interviews if deemed necessary.

Robert L. & Hilda Treasure Mitchell Scholarship

Hilliard P. and Helen P. Jenkins Scholarship

Recipient must: (1) be an African-American resident of Baldwin County; (2) attend a two- or four-year public and accredited institution as a full-time student; (3) intend to pursue a Liberal Arts, Health/Medical, Social Sciences, or Physical Sciences degree, and (4) have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.

The Hart Family Fund for Small Towns offers grants between $2,500 and $15,000 to support preservation projects in towns with populations of 10,000 or less. In 2026, new grants will be awarded to colleges and universities focused on fostering moral, civic, and intellectual character among their faculty, staff, and students.

This initiative seeks to address spiritual interests, foster community connections, and support the growth of faith. By multiplying opportunities for exploration, it encourages meaningful participation in religious life and nurtures a deeper understanding of Christian traditions.

Founded in 1996, the Community Foundation of South Georgia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making South Georgia a better place to live through effective philanthropy. We help individuals, families, nonprofit organizations and businesses establish and manage charitable funds that carry out their philanthropic interests. Serving a geographic area of 35 counties in South Georgia, we facilitate our donors’ charitable plans and goals by creating custom designed funds that meet their specific interests and ensure solid financial management and administration for each fund. 

Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Scholarship

For a graduating senior of a high school located in Thomas County, Georgia who has attained at least a 3.0 GPA in high school. The award is based on Academics, Financial Need, Leadership Qualities, Extracurricular Activities and Community Service.
