Dr. Eric W. Bond Scholarship
About the Scholarship
The Dr. Eric W. Bond Scholarship Program was established by colleagues, the Augusta County School Board, and the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, to honor Dr. Eric W. Bond’s leadership and service to Augusta County Public Schools. In December 2025, Dr. Bond was surprised with the announcement during a School Board meeting — a testament to the deep respect and gratitude felt across the division.
The inaugural 2026 scholarship year will recognize three graduating seniors at each of the five Augusta County public high schools — a division-wide tribute to his dedication to students and families. The scholarship supports students who demonstrate financial need, meaningful service to their communities, and active participation in extracurricular activities — values long championed by Dr. Bond.
The program recognizes that success after high school takes many forms. In 2026, three scholarships will be awarded at each Augusta County public high school.

Applicants must have completed at least 2 semesters that are applicable to their nursing degree.
The Jackson Family Scholarship was originally established in 2007 to support promising students in nurse training programs. Through these awards, the Jackson Family Scholarship Fund will make positive contributions to excellent students and help build the nursing workforce of the future.
In 2019 the fund moved to the Community Foundation with the intent to support students specifically in the North State region. Scholarship awards will be made to students who are either seeking to enter the nursing profession or who are currently in the nursing profession and wish to obtain a higher level of certification in the nursing field (LVN to RN, RN to BSN). Noah’s Gift grants are made to teens who dream to have an extraordinary experience! It encourages applicants to be creative and to explore opportunities or goals they might not have otherwise had the means to achieve. We encourage applicants to explore educational opportunities not covered by scholarships and financial aid such as study abroad or dues required for participation in service organizations. However, funds cannot be used for tuition expenses.
Although team sports were an important part of Noah’s life, requests solely for sports equipment cannot be considered. Applications for travel or tryout expenses may be considered if the applicant demonstrates the impact it will have on them.

A renewable reward opportunity for qualified Tehama County high school graduates who plan to pursue a career as a registered nurse.
