The Zonta Club of Greater Sandusky High School STEM Scholarship Fund provides financial support to female high school seniors from Erie, Huron, or Ottawa County, Ohio, who plan to pursue a degree in STEM or medical fields at accredited institutions. Established by the Zonta Club, this scholarship aims to empower young women to contribute positively to their communities by facilitating access to higher education opportunities. Since its inception, it has fostered academic growth and leadership among recipients.

The BIE Science Post Graduate Scholarship Fund offers financial assistance to American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing full-time degrees in STEM fields at accredited institutions. This need-based award ranges from $100 to $30,000 per academic year, based on financial aid information provided by the institution's Financial Aid Office. Eligible students must demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a Tribal Eligibility Certificate.

The Dr. Alice M. Hudder- Richard T. Molder Post-Secondary Scholarship Fund, established by Richard Molder, supports Erie County high school seniors pursuing post-secondary education. In 2023, the Erie Community Foundation awarded over $800,000 in scholarships to deserving students. Two awards will be granted: one for students focusing on science, math, or business, and another for those studying art or music, emphasizing financial need and a strong work ethic.

High school seniors pursuing STEM degrees at U.S. colleges, universities, or technical institutions can receive scholarship support for higher education costs. Aiaa Foundation’s Future’s Resilient Student Scholarship awards US $10,000 plus an aerospace mentor, prioritizing students who have faced challenges such as disabilities, difficult socioeconomic circumstances, or being first-generation college students, including those from Pennsylvania.

AAUW branches and state organizations in Pennsylvania designing or running hands-on STEM programs for girls in grades K–12 can receive up to US $10,000 for education, confidence-building, mentoring, and college or career preparation activities. American Association of University Women supports projects that expand local impact and foster future women leaders in STEM fields.

Pennsylvania organizations providing STEM education for girls in grades K–12 can access funding through American Association of University Women to run community-based STEM programs. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, tax-exempt schools, and fiscally sponsored groups in the U.S. Grants up to US $50,000 support hands-on learning, mentorship, and confidence-building experiences.

High-achieving high school seniors pursuing STEM-related undergraduate degrees can receive up to US $32,000 through the Carter Creech Scholarship, including students from Pennsylvania. Communities Foundation of Texas provides this renewable support for graduates of Troy Buchanan High School who meet rigorous GPA, test score, honors coursework, and foreign language requirements.

Catholic high school seniors interested in chemistry or engineering can receive STEM education support through this one-time US $5,000 scholarship for freshman-year tuition at a four-year U.S. college or university. Focused on STEM / STEAM education, Catholic Community Foundation invites eligible students, including those in Pennsylvania, to apply if they declare chemistry or engineering as a major.

Graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education in STEM or related fields can receive US $2,000 for college through a scholarship from Lincoln Community Foundation. Although based in Nebraska and limited to Lancaster County students attending Nebraska 4-year institutions, it may interest Pennsylvania educators advising students on similar STEM education opportunities.

Native American and Alaska Native higher education students pursuing STEM fields can receive funding for approved internships, including those with Department of Interior agencies, to cover travel, housing, and commuting costs. Native Forward Scholars Fund, in partnership with the BIE, supports STEM education by helping eligible students in Pennsylvania and nationwide access these experiential learning opportunities.

STEM educators and students in Pennsylvania and nationwide who are Native American or Alaska Native can seek professional development support for training, conferences, continuing education, and certifications. Eligible applicants connected to BIE-funded or reservation schools, schools with 20% Native enrollment, TCUs, or accredited postsecondary institutions may benefit from Native Forward Scholars Fund’s STEM-focused funding.
