This renewable scholarship is for students graduating from a high school in Sumter County, South Carolina. 

The Goossen Schroeder, Amber, Scholarship offers a $500 award for graduating seniors from Gage County with a minimum 3.0 GPA and ACT score. Managed by the Beatrice Educational Foundation, this scholarship aims to assist deserving students in pursuing higher education. Eligible applicants must complete the application independently and submit original letters of recommendation. The Foundation promotes academic excellence and civic involvement, awarding over $55,000 annually to support educational opportunities in the community.

The American Parkinson Disease Association offers Post-Doctoral Fellowships to support research focused on Parkinson's disease. These fellowships, lasting two years, provide up to $75,000 per year to eligible post-doctoral trainees at U.S. institutions. Applicants must have completed their MD, PhD, or residency within two years prior to the award. Community Foundation of Henderson County was incorporated in 1982 by a group of fourteen dedicated and compassionate local leaders with the immediate need to manage two funds - the William C. Armstrong Scholarship Fund and the Charlie Renfrow Scholarship Fund, in addition to providing a permanent vehicle for citizens to give back to their community.

Bryce A. Malsbary (BAM) Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship for a person seeking higher education at an accredited institution, including but not limited to: vocational, technical, trade, college, or university levels of education. Assistance is for a resident of Henderson County or Polk County, North Carolina, leading to a degree. Candidate must show financial need, GPA 3.0 or higher, and have community service, work, or school activities. Student must be a legal resident of North Carolina.

This renewable scholarship is available to students who are descendants of the enslaved families of the former Woodlands Plantation in Bamberg County, South Carolina. 

The Richard K. Sauret Viticulture and Enology Scholarship, offered by the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation, supports students pursuing degrees in viticulture or enology at a four-year college. This scholarship aims to empower high school seniors, undergraduates, and returning students in San Luis Obispo County. The Turner Family Scholarship Fund, established by Cal Turner Sr. in 1999, supports Dollar General employees and their children in their pursuit of education. With over 30 years of impactful philanthropy, the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee champions this scholarship to enhance educational access, empowering individuals to thrive in their chosen fields.

The Quad City Regional Auto Show Scholarships support local students pursuing higher education. Established by the Quad City Regional Auto Show, these scholarships are available to individuals employed at auto dealerships in the Quad Cities area or their children. With multiple awards up to $5,000 each, this initiative aims to ease the financial burden of college expenses. The program emphasizes community involvement and academic achievement, encouraging students to engage in extracurricular activities.

The NINDS Faculty Development Award aims to enhance diversity in neuroscience research by supporting junior faculty from underrepresented backgrounds. This award provides essential research cost support, protected research time, and mentorship for individuals holding doctoral degrees within their first three years on a faculty tenure track. It specifically encourages research proposals that do not involve independent clinical trials, while allowing participation in trials led by mentors. Key application deadlines span from October 2024 to June 2027.

Scholarship amounts vary depending on the scholarship applied for. Applicants are encouraged to apply for as many awards as they are eligible to increase the likelihood of receiving one or more awards.

Scholarships can be used for cost of attendance, direct education expenses, including tuition, books, and/or other school-related fees.

If you receive an award, be sure to complete your scholarship acceptance form (online portal). Scholarship awards are paid directly to the academic institution by the end of August.

Bob Suddeth 4-H Scholarship Fund

The Bob Suddeth 4-H Scholarship supports DeKalb County graduating seniors who have been active in 4-H for at least six years, including their senior year of high school, and who plan to pursue agriculture-related education. Financial need is an important consideration, and students may attend any accredited trade school, college, or university. 

Delaware Art & Design Scholarship

Awards:

• One time award of $20,000. Students may reapply each year.

The Eastern Iowa Angus Association Oliver Hansen Memorial Scholarship, administered by the Quad Cities Community Foundation, supports students from specified Iowa counties pursuing education in agriculture. The Edna B. Collins Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin, supports graduating seniors from Wautoma pursuing a degree in business. With awards ranging from $500 to $40,000, this scholarship aims to help students achieve their educational goals. Selection is based on academic performance, financial need, and extracurricular involvement, encouraging a diverse range of applicants to apply for this valuable opportunity.

This renewable scholarship is available to students who are graduating seniors from one of the following high schools: Hartsville High School, Darlington High School, Lamar High School, or McBee High School. 

The Charles R. O'Melia AEESP Distinguished Educator Award recognizes exceptional contributions to environmental engineering education. Awarded annually, it honors professors with outstanding teaching records, significant research achievements, and impactful mentoring. The AEESP Outstanding Publication Award honors landmark papers in environmental engineering and science that have significantly influenced the field. It is awarded annually to living authors of eligible papers, with nominations made by non-authors. Recipients receive a plaque, a $500 cash prize, and a $750 travel allowance for the ceremony. Nominations must adhere to specific guidelines and are valid for three years. Previous winners are ineligible for re-nomination during this period.

The AEESP Master’s Thesis Awards recognize outstanding M.S. theses that advance environmental science and engineering. Each year, two exceptional theses are honored with a plaque and $500 for the student, alongside a plaque for the faculty advisor. Additionally, winners receive $750 for travel to the awards ceremony. Nominations are limited to one per faculty advisor, and the theses must be from the previous calendar year, emphasizing the importance of current and impactful research in the field.

The AEESP Award for Outstanding Teaching in Environmental Engineering & Science recognizes exceptional professors dedicated to teaching in environmental engineering. It honors those who demonstrate excellence in classroom engagement, innovative teaching practices, and mentorship. Open to nominations from all ranks, this award includes a plaque, a $500 cash prize, and a $750 travel allowance for the awards ceremony. Past winners are ineligible, ensuring fresh talent is acknowledged annually.
