Transportation Assistance Grant

The Transportation Assistance Grant program was established to help members of the MS community remain as independent as possible, and ensure all people with MS have the transportation necessary to get the best medical care.

The program provides funding for reasonable paratransit fees. In partnership with Lyft and Uber, the program can also provide funding for transportation to and from appointments for MS care, limited to neurologist visits and infusion centers, at no cost to the person with MS.

Juanita Muller Scholarship

Juanita Muller was widowed in 1949. She reared two sons, Joe, then 14 and Charles, 10, working six days a week in a dress factory. Charles, the provider of this scholarship, was the first in his family to receive a college education, thanks to the Woodward Trustees Foundation in Cincinnati. It provided financial aid in high school and a scholarship to the University of Cincinnati. May the recipients of the scholarship fully appreciate the effort of their single parent and have an impact on the lives of those they touch.

The Columbus Hilltop Lions Community Service Scholarship Fund, established by The Columbus Foundation in 1943, aims to support high school seniors from the Hilltop area of Columbus who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. The scholarship offers $2,000 over two years to eligible candidates who have completed at least 30 hours of volunteer service. This initiative reflects the foundation's long-standing dedication to enhancing the quality of life in central Ohio.

Durham Foundation Fund in Honor of Shirley O'Neall

The Durham Foundation was established in 1944 for the purpose of maintaining Durham Home as a residence for independent women. In 1937, Sarah Durham established a trust to provide a comfortable home environment for women. The Durham Foundation operates as a 501c3 organization and oversees the home located at 215 West Main Street, Crawfordsville. 

The Durham Foundation Fund was created by the Durham Foundation board of directors to honor Shirley O’Neall’s service to the organization for over 50 years. It is their wish to support local women pursuing education to better themselves and their contributions to the community.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation's Postdoctoral Fellowship Grants support early career researchers dedicated to lymphoma research. Awarding a total of $195,000 over three years, the grant focuses on hypothesis-driven studies relevant to Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Eligible projects include laboratory and clinical research, with a strong emphasis on significant contributions to understanding lymphoma's etiology, immunology, and treatment. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Cherokee Nation students pursuing college degrees in nursing no matter the residence of the student. You must currently be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program (no prerequisites). Payback period required upon program completion, in the Cherokee Nation Reservation. This application is for members of the Cherokee Nation ONLY.

MetroWest Health Foundation

The MetroWest Health Foundation is an independent health philanthropy whose mission is to improve the health status of the community, its individuals, and families through informed and innovative leadership.

MetroWest Health Foundation: Nursing Scholarship

Scholarships are provided to students who are residents of one of the 25 towns in our MetroWest service area. Students must be accepted into an eligible nursing program at an accredited academic institution.

This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of Frank Petersen, who established the Merry E. Petersen Memorial Scholarship of the Community Foundation for Mason County.

The Merry E. Petersen Memorial Scholarship was founded on the belief that persons wishing to serve others in the benevolent field of nursing should be given the chance to achieve it. Merry graduated with honors from St. Francis School of Nursing in Illinois. The Walt Secord “Always Sunny and 75” Memorial Trade Scholarship Application

The Fund shall annually distribute two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each.

The William H. Scheide Prize, established in 1990 by the American Bach Society, honors exceptional publications on Bach or related figures by early-career scholars in North America. Awarded biennially with a prize of $1,000, it recognizes works published within the last two years. Nominations are open to all Society members, and self-nominations are encouraged. Each winner also receives a two-year membership in the American Bach Society.

The William H. Scheide Research Grants, established by the American Bach Society in 1990, support research on Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries. With stipends ranging from $500 to $4,000, these grants are awarded annually and may cover travel and primary source reproduction costs. Preference is given to Ph.D. candidates and junior faculty, but senior faculty are also encouraged to apply. Each recipient receives a one-year membership in the Society, fostering further engagement with Bach's music.

The CTTSS Graduate Students Research Award, offered by the Society of Toxicology, recognizes outstanding research by current Ph.D. students in translational and clinical toxicology. Recipients are announced at the SOT Annual Meeting, with the first-place winner receiving a cash award and certificate. This award aims to encourage innovation and academic growth among graduate students in the field of toxicology, enhancing the impact of their research on human, animal, and environmental health.
