Daisy Cavalli Scholarship Fund

The Daisy Cavalli Scholarship Fund benefits graduating seniors who attend a Napa Valley Unified School District high school and will be enrolling in a trade school, community college, or four-year college/university. Recipients will receive funding for each year that they are enrolled as a full-time student.

Consideration is given to first generation college students (i.e. neither parent has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree).

The Drs. Nima Patel and Daniel McNaughton Scholarship Fund, managed by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, offers scholarships for 2-3 students from the Greater Hartford region. Established in 1925, the foundation supports local students pursuing higher education in Connecticut. Eligible candidates include high school seniors and military veterans with a GPA of 3.0 or above, demonstrating financial need and an interest in science, medicine, engineering, or technology.

Edward W. Solomon Scholarship

The Edward W. Solomon Scholarship is offered by CalRTA Napa Valley and administered by Napa Valley Community Foundation. It is awarded in memory of Dr. Edward W. Solomon. The Solomon Scholarship is given to support current Napa County teachers/educators who are continuing their education. Previous recipients of the scholarship are eligible to reapply.

In addition, applicants must demonstrate the potential for academic success by having been accepted in an upcoming college or university upper division or graduate level education program or course. Community college courses are acceptable only for current teachers who want/need to supplement their credential authorizations, and if the community college course is acceptable to the CTC Credentialing Office.

George & Gwendolyn Goodin Endowment Fund

The George and Gwendolyn Goodin Endowment Fund provides one-year college and university scholarships to Napa County residents who are military veterans, or Napa County residents who are dependents of military veterans who were wounded or died while in active service. The number of scholarships awarded and the amount of each scholarship will be determined by the Fund’s Scholarship Selection Committee.

The Jack O. Weimer, Jr. Scholarship Fund

The Jack O. Weimer, Jr. Scholarship Fund assists current or former residents of Stark County enrolled or accepted in a graduate program in a business-related field. Preference will be given to individuals demonstrating financial need. Personal interview may be required.

This scholarship is renewable.

The John Onaitis Memorial Scholarship Fund

The John Onaitis Memorial Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to Stark County vocational student graduates pursuing post-secondary education from a college, university, trade or apprenticeship program.

This scholarship is renewable.

The Spotlight Fund Grants, specifically the STEM Fund, provide essential funding for K-12 educators to enhance their curriculum with necessary tools and materials for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education. Aimed at supporting under-served communities, these grants typically range from $500 to $1,000 per educator, with a cap of $5,000 per school. Priority is given to educators from high-needs schools, ensuring equitable access to quality STEM education.

Nebraska Community Foundation

Nebraska Community Foundation was established in 1994 by a group of visionaries determined to empower communities throughout the state to grow and prosper. They believed that with the right tools and resources, people could build the hometowns of their dreams.

Through philanthropy, our team helps communities develop strong local economies, high quality of life, and abundant leadership and volunteer opportunities. We empower local leaders to identify community assets, invest in their own resources, and bring about their own positive change. 

BCAFF Scholarships

The Butler County Area Foundation Fund is offering three scholarships to graduating seniors who meet individual scholarship criteria. These scholarships are the Butler County Clinic Scholarship (medical field major); Charles O. & Grace M. Stoops Scholarship in Agricultural or Environmental Studies; and Butler County Area Foundation Fund Scholarship.

Butler County Clinic Scholarship

Funding for the following scholarships through the Butler County Area Foundation Fund has been provided by the Butler County Clinic, P.C.

• Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded annually. Graduates of Aquinas High School, David City High School, and East Butler High School may apply. Only one scholarship per school will be awarded. Each applicant may be an entering freshman or an upperclassman enrolled for post-secondary education at an accredited school of higher education in a medically-related major.

• One half of the scholarship funds ($1,000) will be paid directly to the school after the student has successfully completed the first semester and achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The remaining half of the scholarship funds ($1,000) will be paid directly to the school after the student has successfully completed the first academic year with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and has declared a major within a medically-related major.

• Upperclassman recipient funds will be paid in full ($2,000) directly to the school after the student has successfully completed a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and has declared a major within the area of medicinal studies.

The Ethel Cushing Gardner Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, provides scholarships for Eastford, Connecticut students with musical talent who are intent on pursuing music studies. This fund, part of a broader scholarship program that has awarded nearly $30 million since 1945, aims to support local students in their post-secondary education endeavors. Typically, 1 to 3 awards are granted each year, making a significant impact on aspiring musicians in the community.

The Farmington UNICO Scholarship Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, supports local students from Farmington and nearby areas pursuing higher education. As part of a broader scholarship program that has awarded nearly $30 million since 1945, this fund aims to aid students demonstrating financial need and academic success. Each year, 3-4 scholarships are awarded, reflecting UNICO's commitment to community and opportunity.

The Folabomi & Olusegun Akinbajo Endowed Scholarship Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, aims to empower local students from the Greater Hartford region. Supporting graduates and current college students of Black/African American or Latino/Latina descent, this scholarship promotes higher education as a key to achieving social mobility. With a commitment to education, the fund honors the legacy of its founders by offering 1-2 awards annually, ensuring financial assistance to those in need.

Parkview Health Foundation

The Parkview Health Foundation plays a vital role in supporting Parkview Health and its ability to provide expert, specialized healthcare to our entire region. As the area’s largest health system, Parkview Health serves a population of more than 1.3 million in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

Since 1878, charitable giving has been an important part of Parkview’s ability to deliver excellent care for every person, every day. The Parkview Health Foundation helps ensure philanthropic donations are used to support Parkview patients and the community at large by enhancing the patient experience through comfort and healing.

Scholarships

Helping train and educate the next generation of Parkview caregivers is an important part of our purpose. Through the generosity of donors, we are able to offer scholarships to Parkview co-workers and area students who are pursuing their nursing degrees or EMT certifications — helping ensure the excellence in care continues.

Parkview LaGrange Hospital Scholarship

The Parkview LaGrange Hospital Scholarship was established upon the recommendation of hospital volunteers as a way to give back to the community with the funds raised from the hospital’s gift shop and Parkview Health Foundation donors. The scholarship is open to students and adults who reside in LaGrange County and who are pursuing a degree in healthcare-related field. 

The Gerard Thomas Lynch Fund, established by New England Asset Management, Inc., honors founder Jerry Lynch. As part of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, this scholarship program supports local students from Hartford and its surrounding areas. Since 1945, nearly $30 million has been awarded to help students pursue higher education. Eligibility criteria include participation in Boys and Girls Clubs, maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrating financial need.

The Hartford Whalers Booster Club Scholarship Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, honors the legacy of the Whalers hockey team. Since 1945, the foundation has awarded nearly $30 million in scholarships to support Connecticut students. This fund specifically recognizes high school seniors excelling in academics and hockey, helping them pursue higher education at four-year institutions with hockey programs. It continues to celebrate the spirit of community and sportsmanship in Greater Hartford.

The Jack Maerz and Mary Rago Future of Healthcare Scholarship Fund, established by Rich Rago and Beth Maerz, supports Hartford students pursuing healthcare degrees amid a critical nursing shortage. This fund honors their families' legacies and strives to provide educational opportunities for all, regardless of financial background. With a focus on equity in education, the fund aims to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals. Annually, 1-2 scholarships are awarded to deserving candidates.

The Clark H. and Louise A. Criss Charitable Fund

The Clark H. and Louise A. Criss Charitable Fund was established to assist Stark County, OH high school graduates attending a two or four year university, college, or technical school.

The Jackson-Batchelder Family Scholarship Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, supports Hartford high school students with financial needs pursuing full-time education at a public four-year college or university. Since 1945, the Hartford Foundation has awarded nearly $30 million in scholarships, assisting hundreds of local students each year to achieve their post-secondary academic goals, thereby enhancing educational opportunities within the community.

The John Bell and Lawrence Thornton Scholarship Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, supports students from the Greater Hartford region attending Hampton University. This fund honors the friendship of its namesakes and aims to provide financial assistance to those in need. Since 1945, the Foundation has awarded nearly $30 million in scholarships, helping local students pursue higher education opportunities. This initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to empowering youth in the community.

The Joseph S. Sudarsky Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, honors the legacy of Joseph and Edith Sudarsky. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Hartford public high schools pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and active participation in community service or extracurricular activities. The program has awarded significant funding since 1945, helping local students achieve their educational goals.

The Joyce and Philip Acquaviva Fund, established by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving in 2012, supports local students pursuing undergraduate studies in nursing, science, or mathematics. With a rich history since 1925, the Hartford Foundation has awarded nearly $30 million in scholarships. This fund aims to assist students from the Greater Hartford region, fostering their educational aspirations and community engagement. Awards range from 1 to 5 scholarships annually, emphasizing the importance of financial aid for higher education.

The Wisconsin Women’s Alliance Foundation Scholarship offers three non-renewable awards of $2,000 each for students attending an accredited 2- or 4-year institution. These awards are intended to assist with the first semester's cost of attendance. Students must maintain part-time or full-time enrollment to retain eligibility. This scholarship seeks to empower women in the community through education and support.

The Joe and Janet Barr Early Career Cornea and Contact Lens Research Award supports first- or second-year MS or PhD students in vision science or physiological optics. Established in 2012 in honor of Joseph T. Barr, this $2,000 seed funding facilitates research in cornea/ocular surface or contact lenses. Recipients are required to attend the annual American Academy of Optometry meeting and submit progress reports detailing their research outcomes. Preference is given to North American applicants.

Each year, women, youth, clubs, law enforcement officers and NRA Foundation volunteers are awarded for their efforts in pursuit of these principles.

NRA Law Enforcement Instructor Of The Year

The recipient is selected by NRA Law Enforcement Division staff and must be a currently certified NRA Law Enforcement Firearm Instructor. The winner will receive a plaque and a firearm, donated by Smith & Wesson, in recognition for this achievement.

The Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) Fund, established by the Patient Advocate Foundation, offers vital financial assistance to patients managing the costs of treatment for primary biliary cholangitis. This fund covers out-of-pocket healthcare expenses such as medication copays and health insurance premiums, enabling individuals to access necessary treatments. Since its inception, the foundation has empowered millions by providing personalized support and resources, aiming to improve patient care and health outcomes.

The Dr. Ralph and Marian Falk Medical Research Trust offers the Falk Transformational Awards to provide critical bridge funding for successful Catalyst Award recipients. These awards, which can be up to $1M for a period of 2-3 years, aim to advance healthcare innovations, overcome scientific challenges, and promote new treatment avenues. Managed by Health Resources in Action, the program emphasizes improving medical treatments and finding cures for diseases that currently lack definitive solutions.

The Annual NRA Club Awards Program

Each year the National Rifle Association recognizes outstanding clubs, state associations, youth clubs and an individual or organization for public service. The Annual Awards program recognizes significant accomplishments achieved in areas of organization, operation and public service rendered. 

Public Service Awards

The Public Service Award is presented to the individual who has most generously volunteered their time and services on behalf of the shooting sports. The recipient of this award is instrumental in promoting the objectives of the NRA on a NATIONAL level or whose activities have had NATIONAL impact.

All Club Award recipients receive:

• A free range evaluation from an NRA Range Team Advisor
• A free year of club membership
• $1,000 award

The Tyndale House Foundation Grant supports faith-driven organizations that align with their mission to serve both Word and Deed. Focused on high-kingdom impact, this grant funds a variety of projects in areas like literature, training, education, compassion, and discipleship. Eligible applicants must be U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations or have a fiscal sponsor if based internationally. Grants are not available for individuals, scholarships, or political projects.
