Applicants may be evaluated on academic performance; extracurricular activities; community involvement; paid or unpaid work; and a statement of their personal aspirations, educational goals, and demonstrated unmet financial need in our scholarship review process.

Clanseer and Anna Johnson Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a college-bound, Black/African-American graduating high school senior from the greater Newark area or Paterson who has pursued a rigorous course of study (with particular emphasis on math and science courses). Applicants will show evidence of readiness for and a commitment to pursue a STEM major. Students will be evaluated on academic performance, extracurricular activities, community service, work (paid or unpaid), and unmet financial need.

Tri Counties Bank Endowed Scholarship Fund

Income-Based and Merit Awards are offered from this scholarship fund to high school seniors living in counties around the State of California.

The Tri Counties Bank Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by the Board of North Valley Bank in memory of Don Carter, who served as President and CEO of North Valley Bancorp and North Valley Bank from 1986 to 1997. The fund provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors throughout California who are pursuing higher education. In 2014, the fund became the Tri Counties Bank Endowed Scholarship Fund with the completed merger between North Valley Bancorp and Tri Counties Bank.

The Tri Counties Bank Income-Based Scholarship

The Tri Counties Bank Income-Based Scholarship program seeks to advance higher education for economically-challenged, community-minded students. Tri Counties Bank competitively awards 60 $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors with significant financial need, attending a trade school, a 4-year college/university, or community college. Awards will be made to high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, and business entrepreneurship – the three pillars of Tri Counties Bank’s mission to help to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our economically-disadvantaged youth.

The Academic Transition Grant supports interventional radiologists over 40 who are beginning academic careers after years in non-academic practice. This grant aims to help establish independent research records to facilitate successful academic careers. Eligible applicants include full-time faculty in accredited institutions in the US or Canada, holding relevant degrees and demonstrating a commitment to research. The funding is designated for pilot projects that advance interventional radiology.

The Massachusetts Italian American Charitable Society Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American students residing in Massachusetts. The NIAF Jim Cantalupo Scholarship is awarded to exceptional Italian American undergraduate students majoring in Italian, Spanish, or business, requiring a minimum GPA of 3.5. It aims to support those who demonstrate a commitment to Italian culture and heritage. Applicants must hold an active NIAF membership, which can be from a parent or grandparent. This scholarship reflects the National Italian American Foundation's dedication to preserving and promoting the Italian American community.

The NIAF Maaco Enterprises, Inc. Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American students originally from Pennsylvania. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. This prestigious scholarship aims to encourage cultural heritage and academic excellence among Italian Americans, ensuring their contributions to society are recognized and celebrated. Active NIAF membership is required, which can be through a parent or grandparent.

The Richard Perrone Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American undergraduate students in Connecticut majoring in computer science or a related field. Applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and hold an active NIAF membership, which can also be obtained through a parent or grandparent. This scholarship not only promotes academic excellence but also encourages students to embrace their Italian heritage.

The Salvatore “Sal” Catanese National Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, supports outstanding Italian American incoming freshmen. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, fostering educational growth within the Italian American community. Preference is given to those with Sicilian heritage, promoting the rich cultural legacy of Italian Americans in the United States.

The Louis A. Caputo, Jr. Legal Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), supports outstanding Italian American students pursuing law. Applicants must hold an active NIAF membership and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above, demonstrating a commitment to Italian culture and heritage. Nancy Driscoll’s lifetime wish was to support young women in discovering their “magic.” Whether working directly with young people or coaching board and staff members at organizations large and small, Nancy always found a way to inspire, lift up, and empower.

Nancy was also a protector of nature. Nancy felt that the forests and mountains of Northern California were her temple, and she worked tirelessly to protect wild and sacred places and to bring our community into nature’s presence.

The Tom and Nancy Driscoll Foundation Scholarship was established to benefit and support Siskiyou County high school graduates planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college or vocational school.
