Dr. Constantin Cope Medical Student Research Award

Introduces interested medical students to the greater interventional radiology community at the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting. Recognizes the student author of an accepted abstract that best honors the spirit of inventiveness and scientific purity.

Award

Up to two recipients will receive complimentary registration and a travel award of up to $1,000.

Dr. Gary J. Becker Young Investigator Award

Promotes excellence in academic research for members early in their careers. This award honors the founding editor of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR) and recognizes the importance of the young investigator in developing interventional solutions for the future.

About

In 1990, SIR Foundation established the Dr. Gary J. Becker Young Investigator Award as a way to recognize promising young practitioners of interventional radiology early in their careers and encourage their pursuit of academic careers. Each year, the author of the most outstanding clinical science research paper submitted receives this distinguished award.

Award

$3,000 honorarium along with complimentary registration to the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting.

The award will be presented during the SIR Foundation Awards Ceremony at the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting.

Research Scientist Award

Recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of PhD scientists and engineers at all levels of training for their basic and preclinical research on the topic of interventional radiology.

Award

Up to two recipients will receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend of $1,000.

The Bertold E. Weinberg Scholarship, offered by the ACI Foundation, supports graduate students pursuing full-time studies in concrete-related fields. Established in honor of Mr. Weinberg's dedication to education, this scholarship provides a $5,000 stipend for tuition and materials, along with national recognition in Concrete International magazine. The award cycle runs from fall to spring, with funds disbursed in two installments to the recipient's educational institution.

The ACI Foundation Scholarship supports both graduate and undergraduate students in concrete-related studies, offering a $5,000 educational stipend for tuition, books, and materials. Established in 1989, the ACI Foundation promotes education and innovation in the concrete industry through research and collaboration. Scholarships are awarded based on contributions from ACI members, and recipients gain recognition in Concrete International magazine, fostering the next generation of industry leaders.

The Elmer Baker Student Fellowship, offered by the ACI Foundation, supports undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year in civil or structural engineering, or construction management. Recipients receive a $10,000 educational stipend, recognition in Concrete International magazine, and paid travel to ACI conventions. Internships at Baker Concrete Construction are mandatory. The fellowship aims to foster the next generation of leaders in the construction industry by providing financial support and mentorship opportunities.

The Baker Student Fellowship, offered by the ACI Foundation, supports undergraduate students in civil engineering or related fields entering their junior or senior year. Recipients receive a $10,000 educational stipend, recognition in Concrete International magazine, and travel expenses for two ACI conventions. An internship at Baker Concrete Construction is required. This fellowship aims to foster the next generation of leaders in the construction industry through financial support and mentorship.

The AOE Fellowship, established by the ACI Foundation in memory of Wendy O. Ward, supports undergraduate students pursuing careers in sales, marketing, or public relations within the concrete industry. Awardees receive a $10,000 stipend for educational expenses, mentorship opportunities, and recognition in industry publications. This fellowship encourages students from diverse backgrounds to apply, fostering growth and innovation in the concrete sector. The ACI Foundation Future Concrete Industry Leader Fellowship provides $10,000 to undergraduate students demonstrating leadership potential in the concrete industry. Recipients are recognized in Concrete International magazine and matched with industry mentors. The fellowship emphasizes self-motivation, integrity, and collaboration, with no internship requirement. Students must attend a U.S., Canadian, or Mexican institution and submit a report detailing the fellowship's impact on their career preparation. This initiative supports the next generation of concrete industry leaders.

The Robert W. Knox, Sr. and Pearl Wallis Knox Charitable Foundation Grant Program, established in 1964, supports qualified 501(c)(3) organizations in the U.S. The foundation prioritizes projects that benefit Harris County, TX, and surrounding areas, focusing on charitable, religious, scientific, and educational initiatives. Organizations must wait one grant cycle before reapplying, ensuring fair distribution of funds. The Nicholas F. Maloof, Jr. GA Chapter ACI Fellowship, offered by the ACI Foundation, supports graduate and undergraduate students pursuing degrees related to the concrete industry, focusing on construction or building material sciences. Eligible candidates must have an endorsement from a Georgia Chapter ACI member and describe their ties to Georgia in their application. The fellowship provides a $10,000 educational stipend, recognition in publications, and travel support for ACI conventions, fostering the next generation of industry leaders.

The Don Marks Memorial Fellowship, managed by the ACI Foundation, offers $10,000 to undergraduate and graduate students interested in a hands-on career in concrete construction. Resident Research Award

Provides residents and fellows an opportunity to attend and present their scientific research at the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting. The intent is to expose young researchers who wish to further their careers in interventional radiology.

Award

Up to two recipients will receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend of $1,000.

The Charles Pankow Student Fellowship, offered by the ACI Foundation, supports undergraduate and graduate students in concrete-related studies. Awardees receive a $10,000 educational stipend, recognition in Concrete International, and travel expenses for ACI conventions. To qualify, students must complete an internship in a construction environment before the award year. This fellowship not only fosters educational growth but also connects students with industry mentors, preparing them for successful careers in the concrete industry.

In 2025, the Community Foundation of Madison & Jefferson County awarded over $233,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors of the county’s public and private high schools. Nearly 50 different students earned money toward their college costs. Scholarships are available for a variety of applicants. Some are specific to schools, majors, need, or interests.

CFMJC scholarships may be used for tuition and related expenses like fees and required equipment at accredited colleges and universities. Room and board are not covered.

Armstrong County Community Foundation (The Community Foundation Serving the Heart of Western Pennsylvania)

In 1997 Merchants National Bank, an Armstrong County community bank, marked its 100th anniversary. The centennial celebration included a unique expression of gratitude to the community in the form of $100,000 to be used as a seed fund to initiate a community foundation for Armstrong County. The bank challenged the community to keep the principal balance of the endowed funds intact and spend only a portion of the interest earnings to ensure a lasting legacy.

The Armstrong County Community Foundation, a public nonprofit corporation,

• Gives grants, scholarships, and organizational support to address the needs of our community.
• Builds a permanent endowment to help our donors create a legacy through this endowment.
• Promotes informed philanthropy to increase and sustain charitable resources for the region.
• Provides leadership and builds partnerships to identify and solve community issues.

Klingensmith Scholarship

In October of 1983, the Trustees and various Klingensmith Trusts created a scholarship to further the higher education of working high school students residing in Ford City who chose to study in the field of pharmacy. Trustees funded the scholarship with $40,000, designated it as "The Klingensmith Fund," and authorized representatives of the Armstrong School District to invest and reinvest said principal sum and use the income to benefit any eligible student selected by the School District Representatives.

The Trustees further directed that in February of 2007, the School District was to use the Klingensmith Fund's principal and income in its sole discretion to further the interests of the "high school in Ford City" and giving adequate consideration to pharmacological education.

The Klingensmith Trusts that established the Klingensmith Fund no longer existed; and there no longer being a high school in Ford City, the CEO of Klingensmith Drug Stores, David J. Cippel, requested that the School District transfer the balance of the Klingensmith Fund to The Community Foundation Serving the Heart of Western Pennsylvania (the Armstrong County Community Foundation), a public nonprofit corporation, for the purpose of establishing student scholarships.

The Community Foundation Serving the Heart of Western Pennsylvania (the Armstrong County Community Foundation) willingly accepted. The Armstrong School District transferred the remaining principal and income of the Klingensmith Fund to The Community Foundation Serving the Heart of Western Pennsylvania (the Armstrong County Community Foundation) for the purpose of establishing college scholarships.

In 2025, the Community Foundation of Madison & Jefferson County awarded over $233,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors of the county’s public and private high schools. • 200 word essay on the role the Broadway High School (the first commissioned colored high school in the state of Indiana, located in the 600 block of North Broadway Street) played in the history of Madison; and

The ACI Foundation Concrete Materials Fellowship supports students pursuing careers in concrete materials, providing a $10,000 educational stipend for tuition and related expenses. Open to undergraduate and graduate students, this fellowship emphasizes innovation in concrete applications for new construction and repairs. Recipients gain industry recognition and mentorship, and are encouraged to complete internships. With a commitment to fostering future leaders, the fellowship promotes personal development and career readiness in the concrete industry.

The ACI Foundation Fellowship supports undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in the concrete industry. Annually, ten fellowships are awarded, each providing a $10,000 educational stipend for tuition and related expenses. Recipients also receive recognition in Concrete International magazine, travel support for ACI conventions, and mentorship opportunities. Students from U.S., Canada, or Mexico can apply, and proficiency in English is required. The fellowship aims to foster the next generation of leaders in concrete innovation.

Who We Are

Founded in 1996, the Community Foundation of South Georgia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making South Georgia a better place to live through effective philanthropy. We help individuals, families, nonprofit organizations and businesses establish and manage charitable funds that carry out their philanthropic interests. James D. Eunice Legacy Scholarship

For graduating seniors from a high school located in South Georgia within the service area of CFSGA who have attained at least a 2.5 GPA in high school. Awards are based on academics, leadership qualities, extracurricular school activities, character, community service and personal integrity, and financial need.

Quint Family Scholarship

To provide financial support to high school graduates pursuing a degree in the medical field.

The Quint Family Scholarship was created to commemorate and honor the legacy of the four daughters of Anton & Bertha Quint. Each of these sisters graduated with a 3-year Registered Nurse (RN) diploma from the Dominican School of Nursing in Great Bend, Kansas—Dolores in 1952, Julia in 1956, Alverna in 1961, and Carol in 1963. Collectively, they accumulated 150 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

This need-based scholarship is designed to support high school graduates from the Black Hills region who are pursuing further education in healthcare. The scholarship's founder, Alverna Quint Kopsky, has lived in the Black Hills since 1971, spending much of her career with the Department of Veterans Affairs and providing care to veterans.

This is a two-year scholarship.

Blind Educator of the Year Award

Recognize a blind educator who strives to guide, uplift, and advocate for their blind students and the needs of blind people.

The Blind Educator of the Year Award was established by the National Organization of Blind Educators, a division of the National Federation of the Blind, in 1991 to recognize outstanding blind teachers.

Every year, the award pays tribute to a blind teacher whose exceptional classroom performance, notable community service, and uncommon commitment to the NFB merit national recognition. A teacher not only provides information but also guidance, advocacy, and love. The recipient of the Blind Educator of the Year Award must exhibit all of these traits and must advance the cause of blind people in the spirit and philosophy of the NFB.

Major General Duane L. 'Duke' Corning Scholarship

To provide financial support to scholarships established by the National Guard Association of South Dakota and the South Dakota National Guard Enlisted Association.

The funding for this scholarship endowment is made possible by donations from the South Dakota National Guard Officer and Enlisted Associations, honoring the memory of Major General Duane L. “Duke” Corning. It reflects his love and dedication to these associations, as well as his loyalty, dedication, and service to his state, nation, and fellow individuals.

The St. Andrew's Society Scholarship is designed for graduating seniors from Oregon or Clark County, WA, who plan to pursue higher education in the United States. Eligible applicants must be born in Scotland, have a parent or grandparent who was born in Scotland, or demonstrate a commitment to Scottish cultural activities such as dancing or music. This scholarship supports students in their academic journey while celebrating their Scottish heritage.

Florence and Jack Sims Memorial Scholarship

The Florence and Jack Sims Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at the North Georgia Community Foundation in 2014. The Sims were active participants and supporters of their communities and the Baptist Church in White, Hall, and Oglethorpe Counties. Their Christian beliefs led them to follow Christ’s teaching in Matthew 22: v37-40 – to first love God and second to love thy neighbor as thyself. The Fund was established by their three children- Jackie, Michael, and Hal- to honor their faith and memory.

Recipients must attend a high school located in Hall County or White County, GA, or be homeschooled students residing in Hall County or White County, GA, and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and should demonstrate active involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities such as volunteering, work, and church activities. In 2026, one scholarship award of $2,000 will be offered.
