New Innovator in Food & Agriculture Research Award
The New Innovator in Food & Agriculture Research Award provides early-career scientists the investment needed to propel them into successful research careers.
The Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) seeks nominations for its 2026 New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research Award. Through this program, FFAR intends to provide early-career scientists with the investment needed to propel them into successful research careers. The New Innovator Award program supports and promotes exceptionally talented new faculty who are conducting critical and highly innovative research addressing significant food and agriculture challenges. These awards allow grantees to focus exclusively on research without the pressure of securing additional funding.
The New Innovator Award is a flagship program of FFAR’s Scientific Workforce Priority Area and seeks to promote career advancement of promising new scientists who intend to make a long-term career commitment to research in food and agriculture and bring innovative, ground-breaking research initiatives and thinking to bear on problems facing food and agriculture. Within the scope of the New Innovator Award program, investigators have the freedom to explore new avenues of inquiry that arise during their research. Therefore, FFAR is interested in the program of research to be explored and its impact as opposed to a list of very specific aims.
It is expected that, through this program, investigators will have the ability to pursue highly creative ideas, firmly establish their early lines of research into important food and agriculture scientific areas and provide funding stability in the critical early career years.
Each applicant can receive from FFAR up to $150,000 per year for a maximum of three years totaling a $450,000 investment.
To further support the grantees, and allow them to fully focus on their research, matching funds are not required for this program.
Local Agriculture Market Program
The Local Agriculture Market Program (LAMP) supports the development, coordination, and expansion of direct producer-to-consumer marketing; local and regional food markets and enterprises; and value-added agricultural products. The primary goals of LAMP are to:
LAMP is an umbrella program created in the 2018 Farm Bill. LAMP encompasses the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP), Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP), Regional Food System Partnerships Program (RFSP), and Value-Added Producer Grants Program (VAPG). American Welding Society (AWS) National Scholarships

American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation Research Fellowships
The American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation seeks to foster university research in joining and to recognize outstanding faculty and student talent. We are again requesting your proposals for consideration by the AWS Foundation.
The Research Fellowships are $35,000 per year. $17,500 installments are paid following the submission of progress statements on November 1 and March 1. Proposals may be funded for a period of up to three years, however, renewal applications must be submitted for the second and third years. Renewal by AWS will be contingent on demonstration of reasonable progress in the research or in graduate studies.
The AWS Fellowship is awarded to the student for graduate research toward a Masters or Ph.D. Degree under a sponsoring professor at a North American University. The qualifications of the Graduate Student are key elements to be considered in the award. The academic credentials, plans, and research history (if any) of the student should be provided in the application package.
The student must prepare the proposal for the AWS Fellowship. However, the proposal must be developed under the guidance of a professor and accompanied by letters of recommendation from the sponsoring professor and others acquainted with the student's technical capabilities. Should the student selected by AWS be unable to accept the Fellowship or continue with the research at any time during the period of the award, the award will be forfeited, and no further funding will be provided by the AWS Foundation. The bulk of funding should be for student support.
Topics for the AWS Fellowship may span the full range of the joining industry. Proposals for both applied and fundamental research topics are welcome.
Contractors for Implementation and Evaluation of Healthy Native Babies Project (HNBP) Materials
The CDC Foundation is re-releasing this RFP to allow for additional applicants to partner with us in this work. The CDC Foundation invites proposals from Tribes, Tribal Serving Organizations (TSOs), and Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs) [T/TSOs/UIOs] to implement and evaluate the updated Healthy Native Babies Project (HNBP) materials within their service areas. This initiative aims to strengthen culturally relevant infant safe sleep education, increase community awareness, and support Native families in reducing -sleep related- infant deaths. Selected T/TSOs/UIOs will adapt, disseminate, and assess the use of HNBP materials in ways that reflect the cultural, linguistic, and community-specific needs of the Native populations they serve. Advancing Markets for Producers Grants
ALB has received a USDA AMP (Advancing Markets for Producers) grant, and we’re excited to invite sheep producers to be part of this opportunity to help grow the US sheep industry. This grant will integrate new technology and sustainable management strategies to boost productivity, open new markets, and strengthen opportunities for the next generation of producers.
Producer Program
The project will provide an opportunity for 150 sheep producers to identify production inefficiencies and to develop conservation plans. Producers will also modify management plans through technology implementation to mitigate emissions and improve their overall productivity. Enrolled producers will work with a Technical Service Provider (TSP) to establish operational plans, implement recommended changes and organize farm data to identify best management practices for productivity improvements.
Enrollment Benefits
Producers enrolled in the program will be paid up to $23,000 to develop and implement improved sheep and land stewardship management plans. Additional enrollment benefits:
Early Education Program (EEP) Grant
Alaska Early Education Program Grants support school districts to develop or improve early education programs. Grantees work towards implementing the Early Education Program Standards so they will be eligible for formula funding by the end of the three-year grant cycle.
Purpose:
To provide training and assistance to classroom-based school district preschool programs as they work towards implementation of the Alaska Early Education Program Standards and approval to count preschool students for formula funding. (AS 14.03.410(a)).
Grantees work towards implementing the Alaska Early Education Program Standards and employing teacher(s) with appropriate and required certification. Upon successful completion of grant requirements, districts will be approved by the Department to count four- and five-year old students in the average daily membership count for formula funding.

Foundation Formula Funding for Early Education Program Students Grant
District-wide early education programs may be approved by the Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) to count preschool students for formula funding [Sec 14.17.500(d)]. Eligible 4- and 5-year-old students will be counted at a rate of one-half of a full-time student or 0.5 average daily membership (ADM).
This funding source is commonly referred to as Preschool ADM, 0.5 ADM, EEP-ADM, and early education ADM aid.

Alaska Pre-Elementary Grants (PEG) promote school readiness and positive outcomes for participating three, four, and five-year-old children. Alaska State Libraries, Archives & Museums
The mission of the Division of Libraries, Archives, and Museums is to promote lifelong learning for all Alaskans through Alaska’s diverse history, art, and culture.
Congress passed an act establishing the Alaska Historical Library and Museum for the District of Alaska on June 6, 1900. The purpose of the Museum and Historical Library was to collect, preserve and provide access to objects, laws, and papers from the Territory. The Legislature established the Alaska State Library in 1955 to provide reference library service to Territorial and other public officials and to cooperate with other libraries to increase effectiveness and reduce duplication. The Legislature established the Alaska State Archives in 1970, which opened its doors to the public in 1972. The Sheldon Jackson Museum, founded in 1888 to house an exceptional collection of Alaska Native ethnographic material gathered by Presbyterian missionary Rev. Dr. Sheldon Jackson, was purchased by the State of Alaska in 1985.
Public Library Assistance Grants
Alaska public libraries and combined school public libraries may apply annually for the state-funded non-competitive Public Library Assistance (PLA) Grant. Grant funds, in part, must be used by eligible libraries to purchase library materials and may also be used, in part, to pay staff or cover other daily operating costs of the library.
Pat McGee Nursing Scholarship
Established through the Pat McGee Endowment, named in memory of the former late New York State Senator representing the 57th district, awards are given each year to students, traditional or nontraditional, in the 57th State Senate district (which includes much of Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties) who are pursuing nursing degrees. Students must maintain at least a C average. Students previously receiving the award also can reapply.
Maryetta’s Mission Scholarship
Established by Maryetta's Mission at the First Church of God of Eldred, PA, this scholarship is awarded to students who are entering or currently in a post-secondary program for Christian-based ministerial studies including majors or fields of study such as theology, music liturgy, youth development, Christian administration, etc.
Marjorie and Robert Schaumleffel Rotary Scholarship
This scholarship, in memory of Robert and Marjorie Schaumleffel, is for a graduating senior of Olean, Portville, Archbishop Walsh, or Allegany-Limestone who is an active member of of the Rotary Interact Club and displays a value in "service above self."
Burt Scholarship
Established by the Burt Committee of the First Presbyterian Church of Olean in memory of Dr. Rudy Burt, this fund provides scholarships to graduates of Olean High, Allegany-Limestone Central, Hinsdale Central and Portville Central schools who demonstrate financial need.
Laurie Anzivine Memorial Scholarship
First preference for a graduating high school senior from any high school in Cattaraugus County, second preference for a graduating senior from any high school within a 30-mile radius of Olean, NY, who will be attending a four-year college and who has had an immediate family member or guardian who has gone through cancer treatment. The student must be in good academic standing. Financial need is not a factor. The applicant must submit an essay of no more than 350 words explaining what the student learned from his/her family member or guardian who struggled with cancer and the impact it left on him/her and what advice the student would give to someone else who may face the same situation.
Kothari Family Fund Healthcare Scholarship
This scholarship, made in memory of Kathy Jowsey, is for graduates of Ten Broeck Academy/Franklinville High School who demonstrate financial need, have worked hard academically, and exemplify school spirit through extracurricular activities, sports and/or volunteerism. Preference for this scholarship will be given to students majoring in business, accounting, sports management or journalism.
Jonathan Teuscher Scholarship
Established by Steven and Donna Teuscher in memory of their son, Jonathan, this scholarship is awarded to a graduate who has faced challenges while maintaining a positive attitude. Scholarship awards area available to graduating seniors from each of the following high schools: Allegany-Limestone, Hinsdale Central, Olean High and Portville Central schools.
John J. Murphy Family Scholarship
Named in honor of John J. "Jack" Murphy, Olean native and former CEO and Chairman of Dresser Industries, this scholarship was established initially through a grant from the Communities Foundation of Texas and is continued with donations from generous donors. Selection criteria includes scholastic achievement, school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential and financial need.
James A. and Joan E. Maguire Family Scholarship
The James A. and Joan E. Maguire Family Scholarship Fund will provide scholarships to local high school students graduating from Olean, Allegany-Limestone, Belfast Central High School or Archbishop Walsh Academy. Special consideration will be given to students who have faced a learning challenge. Financial need is considered.

The members of the Kiwanis Club of North Modesto (founded in 1966) and the Kiwanis Club of Modesto (founded in 1923) are joining forces to award $2,000 scholarships to as many as 32 students for the 2026-27 academic year. Each year, members of these two clubs perform countless hours of community service through fundraisers, then donate these funds back to nonprofits and young people in our community.
