Best Grants for LGBTQ Nonprofits in Iowa

LGBTQIA+-serving 501(c)(3) nonprofits and fiscally sponsored groups in Iowa and the broader Upper Midwest can receive US $250 - US $1,000 to support events such as fundraisers, conferences, gatherings, and pride festivals. PFund Foundation funds events held in its five-state service area that primarily serve LGBTQ+ people and align with its mission.

The IA AmeriCorps Formula Grant, offered by Volunteer Iowa, aims to enhance community service and volunteering in underserved areas. This grant prioritizes projects that serve communities facing poverty, improve youth mental health access, support veterans, and promote environmental stewardship. Organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in these critical areas can receive funding to foster civic engagement and build resilient communities, ultimately contributing to national service efforts across the state.

PFund Community Grants

PFund Community Grants are for LGBTQ+ serving nonprofits in the Upper Midwest. These grants range from $1,000-$20,000+ and include organizational membership to the PFund Leadership Institute, a monthly cohort based learning and networking opportunity.General operating funds

In addition to general operating dollars, PFund will expand support beyond the dollar with:

• Access to the PFund Leadership Institute to build the capacity of your organization and teams to deliver your mission. The institute will consist of monthly learning sessions from LGBTQ+ experts on chronic and emerging challenges and topics.
• A cohort of nonprofit leaders to collaborate and connect with

Eligible organizations must serve LGBTQ+ communities in PFund’s Upper Midwest service area and show how their event advances equity, strengthens networks, and supports goals in areas like health, leadership, and advocacy.
