Background

The Home Feeds Nevada Agriculture Food Purchase Program (HFNP) was established with the passage of SB 370 during the 81st Nevada Legislative Session to help Nevada become more food secure and create economic opportunity for Nevada food producers. Through this program, the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) will purchase nutritious foods that are grown, produced, or processed in Nevada and distribute them to designated food banks.

The NDA is accepting applications under this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the following products and/or services:

• Food producers and food processors for products produced or processed in Nevada as listed in Appendix A.
• Storage providers to provide aggregation and storage of products from other vendors as deemed necessary to deliver products to designated food banks. Vendors are not eligible to be paid as storage providers for their own products.
• Transportation providers to transport food to designated food banks. Food producers and processors can be paid to transport their products, and transportation providers can transport product from all approved vendors.

The California Casualty Music & Arts Grant supports K-12 public schools facing budget cuts that threaten their music and arts programs. Eligible applicants, who must be active employees of public K-12 schools and members of specified educator associations, can request grants of $250 for music or arts needs. This initiative aims to enhance creative education across the states, excluding AK, HI, MA, MI, NY, and WI. Applications received by July 15 will be notified by November 30.

TC Energy’s Build Strong program supports vital organizations in communities near its operations. By providing grants, scholarships, and in-kind support, the program aims to enhance safety, education, environmental protection, and community well-being. Eligible applicants include non-profits and community groups addressing local needs. Ineligible activities include operational expenses and for-profit endeavors. The program prioritizes projects demonstrating measurable community impact, fostering a collaborative relationship between TC Energy and local stakeholders.

The Title XVI Water Reclamation and Reuse Projects, funded by the US Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation, invites proposals for innovative water reuse solutions. This program enhances water supply reliability and supports sustainable practices for urban and agricultural communities. By leveraging Federal and non-Federal resources, the initiative aims to address water scarcity and improve hydropower reliability, aligning with national priorities for energy and resource management.

The WaterSMART Enhancing Water Resources Projects program invites eligible entities to secure funding for initiatives that enhance water resource management across various sectors, including conservation, infrastructure improvement, and watershed restoration. Priority is given to projects that collaboratively address community needs and yield significant environmental benefits. The objective of the Regional STEM Network Grant  is to support and fund innovative and collaborative initiatives that strengthen awareness, opportunities, and retention in Nevada’s STEM education and workforce pathways.

The Nevada Off‑Highway Vehicles (OHV) Grant Program invests OHV registration dollars directly back into Nevada’s trails, public lands, and recreation infrastructure. The program supports projects that enhance safe, sustainable off‑road recreation across the state. 

The Folklife Artist Grant from the Nevada Arts Council supports traditional arts projects led by folk artists and culture bearers. Projects should focus on the transmission of folk arts within specific Nevada communities, covering learning and presentation activities. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including federal tax-exempt status and good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State. Grants are awarded based on eligibility and funding availability, emphasizing artistic merit and community representation.

The Arts Learning Express Grant (ALX) from the Nevada Arts Council supports short-term arts education programs for community organizations and teaching artists on the Nevada roster. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis with two grant cycles each year. Eligible applicants can receive up to two grants per fiscal year, ensuring compliance through timely submission of final reports. This initiative encourages early applications due to limited funds.

The Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence: Development Phase (COBRE-D) program aims to enhance biomedical research capacity in IDeA states, which historically receive low NIH funding. By providing critical support for early-career investigators and essential infrastructure, COBRE-D facilitates a long-term vision for institutions. This initiative not only supplements start-up packages for new hires but also establishes research facilities and improves administrative services, paving the way for less-resourced institutions to transition into the COBRE E/S program.

Applications for partnerships can be submitted year-round but are reviewed annually from September 1 to October 15. Eligible organizations must provide a valid 501(c)(3) tax-exempt form and tax-ID. While the grant aims to accommodate requests, it cannot guarantee fulfillment due to high demand. This initiative represents Resorts World's commitment to fostering positive community relations and supporting those in need.

Resorts World Las Vegas is dedicated to enhancing community welfare through its Community Partnership Grant. This initiative focuses on partnering with non-profits to foster collaboration and support for those in need. Eligible organizations must provide a valid 501(c)(3) status and can only submit one request per year. Given the high volume of applications, not all requests can be fulfilled. Requests must be submitted online at least eight weeks prior to any planned event.

Notice of Funding Opportunity: School Psychologist Services Grant

Introduction and Background

The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is issuing a competitive Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) under the School Psychologist Services Grant, funded through Nevada’s federal School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) award. This subaward competition is designed to increase the number of credentialed school psychologists serving students in high-need LEAs through recruitment, retention, and service delivery strategies aligned with early intervention and intensive mental health supports.
