The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation Scholarships provide financial support for high school seniors in Macon, Moultrie, and Piatt County. Annually, over 70 students benefit from these awards, ranging from $500 to $10,000, to pursue higher education. Marion Rotary Club’s John C. Keggan Scholarship

The Marion Rotary Club John C. Keggan Scholarship was created in 2024. It honors the late John Keggan (1931-2023), philanthropist and businessman. John was the long-time owner and operator of the Marion Flower Shop and a realtor in Marion for 20 years. He was a Palace Guard, one of a group of local men who helped to save and restore the Marion Palace Theatre. He was an Air Force veteran and an avid Ohio State fan and alum.

His scholarship provides financial support for Marion County graduating seniors. Recipients will have been a resident of Marion County for at least two full years and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher based on a 4.0 scale.

Special consideration will be given to applicants who attend The Ohio State University regional campus in Marion, Ohio.

The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation offers Community Support Grants aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with spinal cord injuries (SCI). With a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, these grants support community-driven programs that promote independence and participation. Funding ranges from $25,000 to $200,000 annually for up to two years, addressing regional needs and removing barriers to access. This initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to empowering all individuals affected by SCI.

The Marie K. Coleman Scholarship, offered by the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation, aims to support students pursuing educational opportunities. Drew Bilinski Memorial Scholarship

The Melvin & Lena Oneto Scholarship, funded by the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation, provides $2,500 for students pursuing education in agriculture. This scholarship aims to support students from various Elk Grove High Schools, fostering academic and community engagement.

The Battaglia Family Endowed Scholarship, established by the Battaglia family, supports students in the Coastal Bend who require financial assistance to pursue higher education. Candidates can seek two-year or four-year degrees, vocational training, or certifications. Scholarships range from $100 to $16,000, averaging $1,000, with amounts influenced by fund growth. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and reside in the designated counties.

The Acock – Beverly Acock Memorial Scholarship honors Beverly Acock's legacy by supporting students who excel in artistic pursuits and engage in community service. Founded by alumni of Washington County Hospital’s School of Nursing, this fund serves to provide scholarships to deserving students who are continuing their education in Nursing.
